Recently they recieved military gadgets and equipments in cargo planes cos their firepower was depleting.
They can't strike as Iran is striking, their underground bunker and air defence system is overwhelmed.
And note Iran can't use fighter jets to Israel cos of border enemies just like Israel could use it on Iran.
The fight was already on Israel favour yet they are getting overwhelmed

It was an air strike on his apartment but a Mossad agent on ground guided the missile with laser so it hit the bedroom instead of destroying the whole building and killing other occupants.

Israel defence system is overwhelmed currently, recently they complained that they could only hold on to the fight for another 10-12days until military eqpts was delivered to them to continue the fight, meanwhile Iran isn't slowing down and is still bombing at the normal rate.
Iran has better offensive to cause large scale damage than Israel does, so Israel had to focus on key figures to eliminate, they can waste missiles like Iran is doing

Israel has a policy of minimising civilian casualties. So, they usually go for military targets as seen in Lebanon and other places.

Israel is the only one country that sends notices to the civilian population of enemies that a bomb strike is imminent.
