With rise in crude oil price in the international market, definitely it will have effect on price of petrol in Nigeria, there's nothing strange here. Price of crude will reflect on the by-products (petrol, diesel, etc). Though the irony is that while more money come into the covers of government, Nigerians will pay more for fuel.

The petrol they are selling now is not even from the crude they just offloaded. It’s from crude purchased weeks or months ago. So I really don’t understand why the price is going up for products that was made with raw materials purchased weeks or months ago. Thieves

Lagos is going to be cheapest after all the refinery is in Lagos. The fuel price will progressively increase as distance increases from the refinery.


The OP is very mischievous. Why compare prices of Lagos to only south east? Why did he not compare the prices with Sokoto, and Borno that are ever further away from Lagos.

When the old price drops ,do they reflect it immediately? They will sell to make more profits despite the crude drop,the should usee the excess to compensate
