As a true Christian, it is wrong to dress in worldly, seductive and ungodly ways that makes even sinners confused or doubt whether you are a true Christian. You dress to glorify God, not to dress or appear anyhow while saying "God sees the heart".

Lastly, decent dressing should not be worshipped or idolized: and a Christian should dress decently in God's standard and by the leading of the HolySpirit, and not because of any Church's sentiments, tradition, dogma e.t.c.

Dress in a way that glorifies God. God wants you to dress to please Him.

Do not say some wicked people are dressing decently that is why you hate decent dressing.

Remember, people do not go to hell fire in groups.

if you believe a person dresses the way their hearts look would you not confuse a saint to be one who looks like it, by saying o you look decent so therefore your heart is decent.

Dressing according to the bible had 3 purposes;

1. To cover your unclothedness
2. For beauty
3. For glory

....anything outside the above 3 isn't cool

Today in church we were taught that your receiving the body and blood of Christ makes you Christ. Your identity is Christ Jesus. If you carry Jesus in your inside, your outward look must reflect and tally with what you carry inside.
It's a no brainer, nothing to argue, closed topic, non-issue THAT males and females, men and women, boys and girls, toddlers and babies should be gorgeously, decently and honourably adorned and dressed. Your apparel must reflect who you are - a co-heir with Christ Jesus Who is the Prince of Peace, King of kings. As a royal priesthood, embrace your identity as a priest and royalty and dress well. I don tire to dey correct people wey dey dishonour their temple dey dress any how, na your identity you dey showcase - insane, promiscuous, wild, Goethe, demonic, repulsive, vulgar, indecent or gullible to trends. What is God's standard of dressing?
Why is there more emphasis on dressing "decently" than being a decent person internally.
Apart from dressing seductively or dressing in a way that promotes any kind of sin for instance wearing shirts, jackets or hoodies that have ungodly messages or images on them and wearing the clothes that men should wear as woman or vice versa.
I believe a Christian can wear anything, it doesn't have to fit your church's standard to be decent.

First of all there is nothing like christian dressing but decent dressing...every culture have thier ways of dressing but even at that there is still decency in different culture dressing.

Some christian doctrine emphasize more in women covering thier hair even outside the church environment, some doctrine also frown at female putting on trousers in church or even outside church circle.

Some church doctrine even frown at members training or having long beards in church and outside church circle cos beard have now been included in dressing e.t.c

I think as humans we should dress most times at the occassion we are going we look like and present ourself worthy of emulation. You cant expect a lady or sister who is going for land inspection inside the bush as an agent to were long skits getting to her feet simply because her church frown or sees trouser wearing for females as indecent dressing is unheardof.

There are some men who dont even have Jeans trousers only pens ...they see jeans as trousers for rascal..even when going to staduim to watch football they cant wear shorts is absurd.

I still think it is the heart the lord searches even though we should not go overboard when it comes to dressing.
