I doubt it. Remember the "retaliation" they did against Israel the other time? It was symbolic. You send missiles you know are definitely going to be intercepted. You save face because you can tell your people you retaliated, but you don't get a blowback because you didn't do any real damage. I've not read the details of this "strike", but this is what I suspect has happened.

If the damage is not much US will allow him to save face, unless he continues it repeatedly and then Trump may finally get his wish of building a golf course and exotic hotels in Tehran
