Nigeria's economy strategy beats everything one learned in school about economy.

In other climes, when global oil prices goes up the cost of PMS goes up as well, and when they come down the price of PMS comes down.

That is contrary to what we witness here in Nigeria where cost of PMS goes up irrespective of whether the cost of oil is going up or down.

.. dangote imports crude oil at international oil price which has increased to 79 dollars a barrel due to Iran Israel war.... dangote is not getting sufficient crude oil from NNPC.. Nigeria is using it's crude oil in exchange of payment of debts ,loans they collected

This was exactly the question that the bike man that conveyed me yesterday asked.

By the way, the old prices of transportation were fixed when fuel was nearing almost #1000/litre but wasn't reduced despite further decrease experienced in the price of fuel. Now it wants to go back to same old price range and those transporters believe that they deserve to increase the fares further?

Wait for the price of rice to go up...
And we will be told that it is because of the war
