I was the DG of Amaechi's Presidential Campaign, we got 315 votes, we gave them a good fight and after that we thought things will go fine. I can remember vividly Tinubu, the Governor of Lagos, the current Minister for Defence called us and said he wants to meet with me and Rotimi Amaechi and we agreed. The President said I want you two to come on board, let's work together and at that time I was to go for Hajj. When I came back from Hajj, the meeting did not hold till today and that was how they abandoned Amaechi so it's not his fault and that is where his anger is coming from and again you know but I can tell you Amaechi worked for the President, he was part of the PCC, with the former IG and Buratai, they worked for Tinubu, I can tell you that.

El-Rufai was supposed to be on our side and somehow he moved over and again these are part of the things that is annoying and frustrating him. He was on Amaechi's side then moved over to the President's side before the Primaries and the President said he should not leave but come on board. So since then, I have not reached out to El-Rufai because he abandoned our group. He fully mobilised for the President but until now, I cannot understand what happened. That's not my business because he did that to us, so it's payback. I cannot until now, I was the Chief Whip then. El-Rufai came to the chamber and we almost like asked him to take a bow and go or even to lay out some points, and this was after he had been made a Minister, as I have told you, I am not an El-Rufai's fan but truth must be told. You see, that was where Mr President got it wrong You don't form your Government with dependants, and worst of it, the President is a kingmaker, you remember, so when a kingmaker becomes a king then there is a problem which he must identify, so that he can have people stand up to him and tell him the truth. This is what is lacking in this Government.

I still stand on it, The Government of Tinubu is surrounded by kakistocrats and kleptocrats. I don't want to respond to Bayo Onanuga, he is just a domestic staff to the President, I have been a Senator four times. I am happy he called me a frustrated lone wolf, he is a magadog. Where does my frustration come from? I contested and won in the House of Reps two times and a Senator four times. I am the son of a nobody who became somebody without knowing anybody. Ask the President, I am not one of his dependants but an ally.

Let me tell you one thing I like and copy from Mr President and he can get somebody to argue on that, If we are to swap positions and I am the President and doing the kind of things he is doing now, he will have been on the streets now, to protest, even if the Government belongs to him. One of the Government people asked me, Ndume, why not come over to our side and I said No, I am a Senator. The President is supposed to lobby me because he doesn't vote for me but I vote for him both in the election and in the Senate.

Onanuga will call me a lone wolf, he is frustrated, see how they embarrassed Mr President, his job is not to criticise or respond to people but Adviser on Information & Strategy. Look at what they did now, honouring two living people posthumously. When I say there are kakistocrats there, they will insult me, so what is this? Error of omission, commission and stupidity. It was embarrassing on Mr President. If I was Mr President, whomever was responsible for that, I will fire him and get somebody that knows the job.

I am still in the APC but attend coalition meetings. I still believe the President can fix these things but failure to do so, then I will leave. I am 65, with 24 years in this business. God has given me everything. Now, my only duty one I’m ready to die for—is to speak the truth and do what’s right. I won’t jump ship, but if it’s overloaded and risks capsizing, I may consider a smaller one.

As Chairman of ECOWAS, Honestly that is an area I will say the President lost it. What happened in Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso is not his fault but because he has been cocooned so those willing to help could not push themselves. People like Buhari who is in Daura, Gowon, Babangida, Obasanjo, Abdulsalam - all respected former Heads of State but I believe he has not lost it all. Nigeria is the big brother so he needs to work with other Presidents to solve the issue because we are better having more numbers and also the Insecurity situation.

Our National Assembly has become.less Democratic by the year. Historically , the Senate is supposed to be a house of deliberation, where people will deliberate on policies of Government, actions of Government, spendings of Government, that we are not doing now. We are more of an approving institution, just giving support, necessary, unnecessary to the Executive. That division of Executive, Legislature and Judiciary is no longer there. Government has now been personalised and privatised. I can tell you now that I, as a Senator, am not even abreast of what's going on yet we are supposed to deliberate. I told you yesterday, Cory Booker broke a record , he spoke for 25hours 4 mins against Trump's economic policies and at one point was even abusing the US President, if I dare do that in the National Assembly here, Army, Fire brigade, everybody will be waiting for me at the gate.

"Our National Assembly has become.less Democratic by the year". These are words in marble, this 10th NASS can say no need for election, but yes vote, they may even rubber stamp third term. Anyways, Tinubu is OTP.

You can see why Tinubu is a step ahead of these snakes . Just like Reno, the President is a meticulous record keeper, he knows their antecedents very well, these turncoats thought the President would hand over power to them in his Govt & then use it against him. See them being angry because they're being treated like lepers that they are.. APC in the day and Coalition in the night and you think Tinubu is like GEJ that fell into your trap.
