Well, the rise and fall of political empires/dynasties are considered as normal political sequence of events.
I'm sure you mean, time when Yugoslavia was a part of the USSR. Well, it wasn't. But it was a part of the Eastern bloc, which the USSR dominated and controlled - for a few years until General Tito came to power and came up with his "non-aligned movement" or something like that.

those people dey waste their time. Dangote and BUA grin grin grin grin

SmartPolician:
Petrodollars cannot finish because the region is blessed with crude oil and gas reserves. Oil money and gas money are two different things.

That's why BUA is building a refinery in Akwa Ibom, NLNG is expanding its gas plant in Bonny Island, and Shell is building gas plant in Imo. If this finishing is the basis for Nigeria's split, it means that our generation won't see the end of Nigeria. We just learn how to live with one another for now.

It was rather the USSR that invaded Yugoslavia in 1956 and imposed a communist vassal government.

The South East is not afraid of the South South. This statement only comes from the enemies of both regions. The SE considers the SS their brothers because about 9 million of our Igbo people were carved into the region and occupy the biggest part of the SS. Besides, we have historical ties with most ethnic groups in the SS from intermarriages to shared communities. However, if the other ethnic groups in the SS aren't comfortable going with us to form one country, they can form theirs without including our people carved into the SS. This is our argument. Those who carved the boundaries between the SE and SS were not from both regions. They did it for their own selfish reasons meant to create divisions among us for easier exploitation which they very well achieved. We don't have to keep that boundary when seeking a peaceful and productive future for our collective people. All non-Igbo groups can join together and form one country if they aren't comfortable with forming one country with Ndigbo. This is a fair submission.
What if the supposed people in the South South with historical roots to the South east choose not to be part of Biafra?

Are you going to get them along with force?

God bless you my brother Racoon for bringing this to the knowledge of Nigerians; especially the Yorubas who hate to hear Nigeria will divide just because their region has been benefitting hugely from the discombobulated Nigerian union of today.

It may delay but Nigeria will definitely disintegrate since those that feel Nigeria is favoring their region have refused to borrow sense and let equity, sincere unity, justice and fairness to thrive.

Nigeria will disintegrate into 5 countries, namely:

Biafra
Niger Delta (minus the Igbo speaking communities forced into today's Southsouth unless they agree willingly to stay with Niger Delta)
Odudua nation
Arewa nation
Middlebelt nation

The first breakup of Nigeria may start with:

Biafra
Nigeria

later;

Biafra
Niger Delta
Oduduwa
Middle Belt
Arewa
What if the Igbo speaking communities in the Niger delta refuse to join Biafra? Will you seek to include them through coercion?

The last time Yugoslavia as a country played a word tournament was in France 98. I remember Nigeria played a friendly match with yogoslavia before the world cup and they Trashed us 3 : 0 all thanks to our funny goalkeeper ABIODUN BARUWA.
Yes,but as at that time, their fragmentation has already begun.Crotia was already broken free from them and participated in the tournament as an independent state where they finished 4th with their striker,Suker winning the golden boot.

Dey play. Go read about it then you will know there was massive killings, assassination and war. No wonder una plenty wey dey talk anything about your country but feel the whites are pure and angels. You think splitting comes with dialogue and round table discussions??
The mass killings and land grabbing going on in your country is what?

People saw that they were not fit to live together due to diverse views and decided to Balkanize than force a unity.

Who are your people, What do you mean by your people, who gave you power to own people, you guys quoted the constitution Whare every ethnic nationality has the right to self determination, yet you are still taking about owning a people,, that is talking with both sides of the mouth, freedom should be freedom, let everyone be free to decide where they want to belong,is that too hard to grasp or is their any other agenda?,
Thanks bro. Every single ethnic group has the right to choose where they would belong to, and associate with, without any form of repudiation.

Watch how same thing would have happened in Nigeria if we had allowed the bitter hateful lots to hijack the national interest.

Do not give chance to those unpatriotic elements who have never built anything in their lives but want to break up Nigeria.

They're are lepers , if you allow them, they will spill the milk you and others have milked all day! Bad luck people who should never be allowed into any household or nation. They balkanized Yugoslavia and now feeding on its entrals!

It's happening in Sudan right now!

You are dead wrong. Russia was not under Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia was under Soviet influence mainly because they shared communist ideologies with the USSR, which broke into Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia etc.

If you like condemn Nigeria from now till eternity.. I am not into arguing about the dilapidated state of our country. I am just educating on the white folks worshippers..

Or why is Spain not letting the Catalonia go their way? Do you think if they choose to leave today, there won't be a war in Spain?? Massive bloodshed definitely will occur..

Cheap cash from crude oil sways the brains of most people in Nigeria.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, European politicians gave a tacit approval to dissolution of the multi ethnic and multi religious countries that existed in Europe. They got to understand that such countries do not work.
The new countries now all thrive.
There is still issues within the former countries that make up Yogoslavia. Do not believe everything you see on TV. The Europeans have learnt through bloodshed and wars to live in unity and they have matured through the years.
We are yet to achieve maturity and so many external and internal(evil politicians) factors are contributing to widen the fault lines.

Didn’t know the Persians where the present day irans
I would also like to know more about the Ottoman Empire
The Ottoman Empire began with the Turkic people leaving their original homeland in Central Asia around those countries like Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan etc and passing through the Caucasus mountains to the territory formally called Anatolia. They drove off the Greeks that occupied that land in a series of warfare with a combined army of Muslims from other nations around the Middle East. The Greeks themselves have conquered that land from others during the time of Alexander The Great. The Turks defeated the Byzantine empire which ruled over Asia Minor which was the Eastern part of the Roman Empire and forced Islam on them. They pressed further into Europe and conquered many European countries including parts of Greece proper. They went further and almost took the capital of Austria before they were stopped by the combined forces of other powerful European countries. The Ottoman Empire was fond of taking European children and bring them into Turkey to train them into soldiers. Thus, today Turkey has a lot of mixed people both from Central Asia, Middle East and Central and Eastern Europeans. The powers that defeated the Ottoman Empire ensured Turkey was cut away from other Muslim countries so they can monitor them easily.

Did you know the war that broke up former yougoslavia was sparked by riots that broke out in a football match in 1990 between fans of the two football heavyweights Dinamo Zagreb and Red star Belgrade ?
The blue boys of Dinamo Zagreb ( the Ultras) on one side , then the Delije of Red star Belgrade on the other side .
And then there was the Croatian club captain, the highly gifted Zvonimir Boban in the fray.....
Those were the times.

Can you clarify?

Your post seems confusing.
Dosvedanie:
You might desire same for Nigeira, it's rational. But the grey lines are the minority ethnic groups. If Biafra, Oodua and Arewa republics are to be actualized based on ethnic origin, what of Urhobo, Isoko, Kwale, Ejaw, Ebira, Okun, Idoma and others? Kanuri, Tiv, Nupe
Hausa/Fulani or Hausa and Fulani?
Thats the grey areas countries like Sudan and Congo are still battling.

These are people that did not enforce “unity” on one another.

Here in Nigeria our politicians refuse to even try to conduct a simple referendum because they benefit greatly from this contraption called unity.

Funny enough, the people have been brainwashed to believe their fellow citizens are the problems and not the politicians that create so much divisions.
it actually took years of war and civil wars for some of these nations to secede

There's no compulsion in building a union. If any clan among them prefers to go with other non-Igbos in the SS, so be it. However, in future if they want to join us leaving the new country, they will join us. We won't leave our people to be at the mercy of anyone.

The USSR actually invaded Hungary in 1956 and toppled the government.
Yugoslavia and Tito were never invaded by the USSR. You are right and I was wrong.
