Let's stop politicising everything in Nigeria. We have all been clamouring for state police because the current security arrangement has failed to protect the people but serve the interests of the powers that be, who use human lives to play politics. Security is local. Appointment of someone from a different community is even bad as far as the forest guard is concerned let alone someone from a far distant tribe. This is not political appointments and no one should make it look like one.

It's about understanding your environment, culture, language and knowing when an intruder comes in or goes out. Politicians have started to test water with the state police because they are not interested in protecting anybody but advancing their political interests. Since they have seen that no argument is capable of beating the state police and local security being advocated for, they are looking for something that will still make everyone be tied to security control from Abuja which has been the major problem with the current security system and it's people like you that give them such ignorant support until what others have been crying out against happens to you or those around you, you will not know the limit of trivialising serious issues with tribal sentiments.
