Caseless:Mere looking at their political structure and how suppressed the citizens are will tell you who to trust. |

God1000:Some of you talk like kids that are without developed brains. No country lives without allies. In event of wars, you get supports from your allies. The only nation that was able to flight their wars alone without allies was the Biafra. Now, if a country planned to fight another country, she will consider the strength is that country and also the country allies knowing that she will be fighting that country together with that country's allies. So all these talk of this country is stronger than the other country on one on one is a non&ense talk. |

smtx:you are built on the assumptions thrown around by the west that, once people don't live according to their own dictates, they're suppressed. You live in "freedom" in Nigeria, are you better than the Iranians? Have you seen their technological advancement? I'd rather be suppressed as a citizen of Iran than free as Nigerian. What do you think they have in the west that they don't have? Take away the sanctions and you'd see how big Iran is economically. |

Caseless:No doubt Iran is big economically even with sanctions it's Tech advancement can never be compared to Nigeria. I agree completely with you. And the West also acknowledge this fact. However, you will not agree with me that suppression of rights is astounding in this present govt than ever before. Defying compulsory veiling is imprisonment, women are treated as second class citizens as regards rights to marriage, child custody, employment etc. Women rights activist are given death penalty example: Sharifeh Mohammad. Ethnic and religious minorities are tortured and sometimes put to death. The govt censor media, jamms satellite TV channels, they continue to block and filter apps and social media platforms. Infact, early dis year the Supreme leader approved the decree prohibiting the use of VPN. Iran's list of suppression and human right abuses is endless, and of the truth we are better off in Naija, but you will choose to be sentimental towards your religion. |

smtx:If your democratically elected government was toppled because it nationalized their oil and a puppet was installed, who then ruled with iron-fist to the joy of his masters, then there was a revolution and then they came in - do you leave everything to chance? You allow everything to filter in from those who wants your country to boil and go up in flames? Those who toppled your government and imposed sanction on your country for 50 years to inhibit national progress? I'm sure Iranians are more than united right now because they know what their country can do. It's when they didn't know the war capacity of their leadership that they allowed themselves to be used by Israel to protest for a regime change. |
