But let me also use this opportunity to say, on my way here, I watched on national television, even though this is not a political rally, but anyhow, it is still politics. I heard it when the acting National Chairman of PDP was directing the National Secretary to resume. The National Secretary is not your appointee. The National Secretary has been doing his work, so, you can’t call him to resume. Because of the illegalities that you perpetrate and that, you don’t show leadership, that is why you put yourself where you are.

It is nobody’s making. The National Secretary has been working and will continue to work. He doesn’t require anybody to direct him to resume work. It is because of your ignorance of the law. Too bad, too bad. The law does not recognize ignorance, that you are ignorant of the law is no excuse. I feel so bad when people can now move to INEC for INEC to direct them to obey the Supreme Court judgment. It is most unfortunate. A political party would now go and ask from INEC, what do we do? INEC would not direct you, go and obey the Supreme Court judgment.

When you shoot yourself, you will say somebody has shot you. Continue to shoot yourself. I will not be a party to those that will shoot myself. When you don’t know something, ask the right person. When you don't know something, ask the other person. Don't because of ego, don't because you are receiving monthly allocation... Money does not solve all problems. If e didn't dey, e didn't dey. There is nothing you can do about it. If you want to learn, come and meet us, we will teach you how.

I am not going to answer the Honourable Minister on the last political statement he made. I did not come here to talk politics but to speak projects, so projects I will concentrate. But if you want me to make a remark, I will say, however you people get yourself into this confusion, try and get yourself out of it very quickly. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, is very interested in seeing a vibrant opposition. It saddens him when he sees the way opposition in Nigeria is in disarray. As a true democrat, he will like to see a very vibrant opposition in the country.

Just before I came here to represent him, I received and read a letter from the Labour Party, so it's not only PDP that is in disarray, even the Labour Party is cracked. And people who are strong members of the Labour Party are angling to run Nigeria when they cannot put small political party like that in order. So I want to join the President to see a vibrant opposition. Senator Neda Imasuen just decamped this afternoon from the Labour Party, he moved from the Left Hand Side to the Right Hand Side of the Senate so that took me some time, so Honourable Minister, so I had to do that ritual.

So I am not tired, I am happy to receive them because our doors are always open in the All Progressives Congress. So congratulations to Senator Imasuen who has decided to leave the fractured Labour Party to the All Progressives Congress.

And the Supreme Court never reinstated Anyanwu. They simply said only the party can decide who the National secretary is. The right thing is for the right organ of the party to suspend Anyanwu and name an acting secretary in line with the PDP constitution

What we practice in Nigeria is politics of people, tribe, religion, personalities, big men, instead of politics of Policies, development, indices etc.

In politics of Nigeria: I am your friend and party man if I like you and we can benefit from each other monetarily the end goal is always personal gain, put me here so I get this salary/contract/money.

It is never policies: by policies I mean: Human capital development: by this I don’t mean “empower the people” in the same way Nigerians mean it I.e: share money, rice and sewing machines I mean:

Universal access to quality education, investment in Science, Technology, Engineering and maths.

Affordable and accessible healthcare.

Efficient bureaucracy (civil service and civil servants will actually do their jobs without asking for bribes)

Economic diversification (away from Oil and away from Lagos state alone)
Promote value added manufacturing

Reliable electricity supply and many more

If I was politics of policies: the question will not be “will Nigeria ever develop” the question will be “How will Nigeria develop”

Because APC will be saying We want electricity for all Nigerians but we want it through Solar because it is clean

PDP will be saying we want electricity for all Nigerians but we want it through Dams because it is tested and trusted

It will be up to us to chose do we want APC’s Solar or PDP’s Dam.
Whoever we chose we know 💯% we are getting 24/7 electricity but the only question will be By which means?

But ladies and gentlemen I regret to tell you we are still doing politics of big men where everyone is beggarly looking up to the big man in the center with this kind of politics Nigeria will never ever develop especially Not in our lifetime. Not in the next 200 years no be curse I done sit down analyze ai well well no magic no miracle can make us develop by accident.

One good leader will not be enough to help us develop whatever that 1 leader does in 8 years or 4 years will be sabotaged by the people around him and the people to come immediately after him we have seen this severally in local and state levels where 1 good Governor makes a state Tourism capital of west Africa or Number one supplier of bananas, fish whatever and 2 governors later it’s all gone.

The next Governor is asking “are we monkeys that the foolish Governor before me gave you people of Tai local government of Ricers state banana plantations and Rison palm?” And he incentivized his boys/hoodlums to destroy the farms
