clayfounder:t’s really sad how many people have no idea what they’re getting themselves into with these Facebook visa agents — I have stories for days. Some people will never get a visa again because of a five‑year ban caused by one careless Facebook visa agent. Now imagine trying to explain to the USA, the UK, Australia, or any EU country why you have a five‑year Canadian visa ban on your record. It stays with you for life… but hey, what do I know? |

DelCrux:something does not add up Your question is really confusing me. Are you saying that you completed your biometrics before submitting your application? Please, if I’m mistaken, someone correct me — that’s if the process has changed. If you’re submitting a visitor visa application for Canada online as a first time applicant you can only do biometrics after submitting your application. Once you’ve submitted it, you’ll receive a Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL), which you must use to book an appointment at a Visa Application Centre (VAC). So, you can’t do biometrics before submitting the application. or If You’ve Done Biometrics in the Past 10 Years: If you’ve already given biometrics for a Canadian visa or permit in the last 10 years, you don’t need to do it again until it expires. You can skip this step for the new application |

DelCrux:Ok, firstly, it’s called a Business Visitor Visa because your intent is to visit Canada for business-related reasons — such as attending meetings, events, or conferences. It’s still a visitor visa, just with a focus on business activities. You mentioned that you did biometrics in March. Was that for another application, different from this current one? This is puzzling, because you can’t do biometrics — unless an application has already been submitted. So, if your “Facebook agent” is now asking for these details, does that mean this is a new application? Or did he fail to submit this information in your first application? Something doesn’t add up. Let me clarify: You cannot do biometrics before submitting a visa application And all what he is asking for is meant to be in the visa application before submitting. You must first submit an application, and then you’ll be asked to do biometrics — unless this is your second visa application within 10 years. I’m really confused, as it seems like your Facebook agent hasn’t told you the whole story. |

DelCrux:(1) Ask him to show you where IRCC is asking for additional details. (2) Ask if the additional details is for the old visa or a New one. 🤔🤔 I am sure he will not reply you. (3) Another question how much did you pay your agent for this visa package? It looks like you paid a Large amount of money and he want to keep you as a customer 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

DelCrux:Your Facebook agent is not telling you the truth As I said before his request does not add up (1) Ask him to show you where IRCC is asking for additional details. (2) Ask if the additional details is for the old visa or a New one. 🤔🤔 I am sure he will not reply you. (3) Another question how much did you pay your agent for this visa package? Milito:Are you planning to claim asylum? Remember, as a Nigerian, you have only a 13.71% chance of having your asylum claim approved. |

amnotapervert:Nahhhh. But I just find it funny the way that poster I quoted is always all over the place about asylum seekers. While its a good thing to educate and hint people about the limitations and disadvantages of trying to claim asylum most especially dishonestly, but its distasteful the way some people make enquiries about visa an asylum-seeking intention. |

Milito:Again, I am not discouraging anyone from seeking asylum, but it’s important to understand what you’re signing up for. I know many people have been misled to believe that coming to Canada on a visitor visa and then claiming asylum is a guaranteed pathway to permanent residency — and that’s the package many Facebook agents try to sell, especially using conferences. The reality is, many Nigerians don’t fully understand the asylum process or the actual probability of being granted status. So, yes, it might seem like we’re acting as the “asylum police,” but the truth is that people don’t know what they don’t know — and we’ve seen countless young and hopeful people fall into this trap because of misleading information spread online. We’re not here to tell anyone NOT to claim asylum. We’re here to shed light on the facts, so you can make an informed decision. Think of it this way: would you board an airplane if you knew it had only a 13.71% chance of reaching its destination safely? |
