The way the naira keeps going up and down shows what many countries are facing right now. Around the world, money is losing value in some places because of things like high prices, wars, and changes in interest rates. It’s not just Nigeria, many countries are finding it hard to keep their money strong these days. |

Propaganda doesn't fix an economy. Lies do not fix an economy. Incompetence doesn't fix an economy. Sycophants don't fix an economy. Only people with vision, brains, and intelligence can fix an economy. Obviously, the current crop of rulers that have been forced and foisted upon the country lack all three. But as usual, stooges and praise singers will come and promote the government for making the standard of living low, and the cost of living high. Reno, unfortunately, will drag Obi's name into this conundrum, while ignoring the parties directly responsible for this. Helinus, yyba, coronapro, yarimo, timemanager...food is ready. Come and defend incompetence.

casualobserver:That goes to show most of the things you read in the Nigeria media are sponsored for political reasons. Terrible people. Why did nairaland moderators move this totally deceptive thread to front page ![]() A currency barely changes, and you report it as losing value. In reality, Naira has been one of the most stable currencies in Africa this year. You can't build a successful country when virtually everyone is intent on undermining anything good. |

DeLaRue:Buhari met it at $1/N220. He left it at $1/N800. Tinubu took it from N800 to N1,600. Before APC, I used to convert $100 for roughly 20k. After APC, $100 is now N160,000. Make it make sense. Have you thought about the impact this is having on the cost of goods? Importation? You can't "out-propaganda" a failing and falling economy, bro. |

SoftSport:Ol0do, If you understood how exchange rates work you wouldn't be saying this. All currencies cannot be losing at the same time, it is a two way thing. Your loss means another currency gains, your gain means another currency loses. In this case Nigeria lost, it means there is a gain for the dollar. Nigeria's are only asking why their own currency is always at the losing end.. |

christejames:That's why the people must come together to show strength so politicians will know who is stronger or more important or where the power lies in a democracy, that it does not lie with the political elites or influences or the media but the people, because these are the people being settled now instead of the Nigerian people whom the government erroneously believe are inconsequential in the scheme of things The economic wellbeing of the elites, are well taken care of While they introduced deform policies for the people to wrestle with |

richmond500:Where is the lie, before APC changed $1k5 to 225k naira when it used to exchange for 150, then 199/200 during GEJ. Your cronies ruined naira and made it the most useless currency in africa. You can imagine zimbabwe currency having more value than naira.
