SarkinYarki:Okay. I do and I advocate for them. I hope I haven't committed a crime? Having answered your question, I will like to ask you, why does EFCC spend part of the proceeds of their recovery as an enforcement agency? Can you now see you are not utilizing all of your brain capacity? |

U09ce:Both the workers and the company itself. Imagine what NDLEA officials will do to shop owners all in the name of looking for drugs, they will arrest people illegally and call them drug dealers just to extort them. Tinubu did well by declining NDLEA assent act. |

TallNigerian:The thing Efcc does today is why NDLEA must never be allowed to keep poo proceeds of criminal activity. Efcc has made us all see that it's a bad idea to do so. |

| Re: Tinubu Declines Assent To NDLEA Act Amendment Bill by SarkinYarki: 2:57pm On Jun 26, 2025 |
TallNigerian:We have said it times without Number that the EFCC shouldn't be spending part of their recovered funds , it's an illegality that shouldn't even stand , most of the money is looted without extra budgetary and that's what the NDLEA wants too and this is wrong , Every drug or asset seized is and exhibit which after the passing through the law can only be forfeited by law to the Federal Govt of Nigeria nor to the NDLEA , the NDLEA is a govt parastatal who must only spend from approved budgets , extra budgets and appropriation anything outside that is driven by the urge for unaccountability and corruption ..You want to have a fund that cannot be transparent in any way and that's not right , we are still fighting for security vote of governors to be cancelled and you are here trying bro add another problem |
| Re: Tinubu Declines Assent To NDLEA Act Amendment Bill by TallNigerian: 3:13pm On Jun 26, 2025 |
SarkinYarki:Okay, from this viewpoint, I am beginning to understand your argument. And it is indeed noble. But with the bureaucratic bottlenecks associated with budget implementation in Nigeria, you will find more and more agencies clamouring for financial autonomy over time, especially those whose operation can generate enough funds to cover their operational expenses and more. |
| Re: Tinubu Declines Assent To NDLEA Act Amendment Bill by Wickedfact: 3:43pm On Jun 26, 2025 |
TallNigerian:Support wetin? It's from the Efcc account and the President directed that he funds be used for the NELFUND program. Well, Efcc too will soon start crying. Let me when inform you that there is a Federal agency being set up to manage recovered funds and assets. Once the Establishment Act is passed, Efcc will no longer be in custody of recovered funds and assets. All will be passed to the new agency. It's like an AMCON for all FG agencies. https://www.google.com/amp/s/businessday.ng/news/article/senate-moves-to-cut-efcc-icpc-powers-create-asset-recovery-agency/%3famp |
| Re: Tinubu Declines Assent To NDLEA Act Amendment Bill by TallNigerian: 3:48pm On Jun 26, 2025 |
Wickedfact:It's a good development. I totally support. If you don't want NDLEA and other agencies to clamour for retention of recovered assets, then strip all agencies of such privileges. That's fairness and equity. It's the same reason Police are agitating to return to DBS because military pensioners and intelligence community pensions are all on DBS and not CPS. |
| Re: Tinubu Declines Assent To NDLEA Act Amendment Bill by Wickedfact: 4:07pm On Jun 26, 2025 |
TallNigerian:That is majorly why the President declined assent. Because it will clash with the proposed agency. As for the Police, those ones are sabotaging themselves. The top guys aren't looking out for the junior officers and men. They are contented with being houseboys to politicians. |

Good decision by the President to decline assent to the ridiculous bill. Every agency proceed should be sent the appropriate central account for accountability. |
