Oga, the minimum most people earn is 100k.
Minimum wage is just for level one and I don't think there is anyone that earns that amount.

Very bad policy. What are you doing to drive growth in the economy? How many people earn 250k monthly?

This is very unfortunate coming from someone who calls himself a professional. They only know how to solve problems on paper not in real life.

Does demolishing people's properties and seizing them bring about growth.

Are taxes not based on income? If there are no incomes what do you tax, if there is no real economic growth how are you going to get your tax revenue? Offcourse you will continue to borrow that's why there is no real effort to grow the economy.

Taxes are just an illusion that the gullible citizens are funding the govt.

Many state governors don't even encourage investors unless the ones they bring in to siphon money. Despite the increase in allocations to state there has been no real growth in many states apart from Lagos, a country cant grow economically if only 1 or 2 states are bringing revenue for the country.

This is a big let down, eventually we shall go the way of Kenya and Togo because this is not sustainable in the long run.

250k is still not easy to earn in Nigeria.

How many company can afford to pay 250k to their low level staff? Even foreign companies..indian, chinese, lebanese? They don't have the capacity. Most guys rushing to join molue in the morning are not earning up to 150k sef.

'Sounds' good, but the devil is always in the details and the reality on ground...

So, let's do the comparative analysis shall we...

1. Base (period, value etc)

A. Comparative period 2014 and 2025 (2014 is used or 2 reasons. 1. That was when apc came to power. 2. The people in power today protested against the socioeconomic conditions of 2014)

B. Monetary value (using fx rates)
N250,000 today is equivalent to N34,000 in 2014.

So, a brief random comparative analysis would reveal the following...

In 2014, N34,000 would get you about 380 litres of pms.
In 2025, N250,000 gets you about 266 litres of pms.

In 2014, N34,000 got you about 4+ bags of rice.
In 2025, N250,000 gets you 3+ bags of rice.

In 2014, N34,000 got 10 bags of NPK fertilizer.
In 2025, N250,000 gets 5 bags of NPK fertilizer.

In 2014, N34,000 got 55 small baskets of tomatoes.
In 2025, N250,000 gets 42 small baskets of tomatoes.

So, are Nigerians better off socioeconomically under bat?

Your guess is as good as whatever you have surmised...

Oga, we have taxes at 3 levels FG, state and LGA. What's being deliberated upon is FG and PAYE. The Agero is under LGA. IGR will still continue
Bro you nailed it.
The present agbero style of tax in Lagos was designed by tinubu since 1999. The private agency collecting tax for Lagos is still owned by tinubu if am currently wrong and everyone knows how tinubu come about that agency charging few percentage. Lagos state will never copy the FG PAYE tax laws because the agbero blood is already in them. They have shared every parks, bus stop, street, garage to agberos, collecting illegal legalize taxes on commuters and market people.

Thank God they have finally admitted that they made more than 70% of Nigerians poor, thank you Bola Tinubu for being honest for once in your corrupt life.

Before you quote me, remember that Nigeria's minimum wage is NGN70,000 and less than 20% of working class Nigerians earn NGN250,000 and above.

Honestly if Bola Tinubu gets reelected in 2027, all Nigerians are supposed to be rounded up and sent to a maximum security prison angry

You know this yet you made minimum wage look abysmal.
They want to make sure to always keep majority of the masses below poverty level, because poor people are easy to control.
That is why they hate it when the people push further to earn more income through other means.
Even if legal. (Like crypto for instance)
So, they frustrate the people's efforts by all means possible.

Your analysis is so wrong.
2014 economy was under fuel subsidy
2025 economy is not under fuel subsidy.
In your analysis, calculate the actual price of fuel without subsidy in 2014.
In 2012 when Gej removed subsidy, fuel jumped to 145 which was rejected. Now use that 145,and the effect of 145 to do analysis on the products you mentioned.

May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu

According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”

On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.

Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.
