Obi Peter Commends Ganduje For Prioritizing His Health Urging Other Leaders... by DamnnNiggarr(op): 10:05am On Jun 28, 2025
Peter Obi commends former APC National Leader, Dr. Ganduje, for prioritizing his health and urged other leaders who are unable to perform to capacity due to health-related issues to take a cue from the former APC boss's exemplary action.

Ganduje’s Timely Challenge to Leaders

I have just read a news report that the National Chairman of the ruling party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has resigned from his position with immediate effect, citing health challenges as the reason.

I must commend Dr. Ganduje for prioritising his health above all else. With his health reportedly in decline, it is both wise and honourable to step aside, knowing that he may no longer be able to render the level of service required by the party, the people, and the nation.

By this exemplary action, Dr. Ganduje has thrown a challenge to other leaders who, due to health-related issues, are no longer able to deliver optimally. I sincerely hope they take a cue from him.

The challenges confronting our nation today require leaders who are not only competent but also physically and mentally fit, leaders with the capacity and agility to respond decisively and promptly to pressing issues.

At this critical point and difficult time, we can no longer afford leadership defined by medical tourism, long holidays, or absenteeism caused by age-related ailments. These things are taking a serious toll on our development.

May God Almighty grant Dr. Ganduje a peaceful and fulfilling retirement.

Indeed, a new Nigeria is POssible.

-PO
Peter Obi

I don't think Gandollar resigned his chairmanship because of health related issues, but based on irreconcilable difference with Tinubu on the prospect of Kwankwaso impending defection to the APC fold which he is not comfortable with. Fingers crossed!

Dailytrust is reporting that Ganduje was forced to resign after a visit by one of the country's security heads. In other words, at gunpoint or via threat. Threat of EFCC, perhaps? Even if Ganduje remains at the party, the peace will be equivalent to that of a graveyard. As expected, Tinubu scheduled his travel outside the country to coincide with the orchestrated coup against one of his closest allies. Like Elrufai, like Ganduje, like Shettima. Who's next? But Kwankwaso can't save Tunubu in the North. Not even Buhari can. "The guy is gone!".

Ganduje left because Kwankwaso, his sworn enemy, will join APC.

If Tinubu completes his two terms, he will probably give Kwankwaso APC ticket in 2031 if Kwankwaso wins Kano for him.

Which North are you talking about? If you are still considering middle belters as part of North you are in slumber. I hope when you are awake, you will realise that you have long been left behind.

The same recycled rhetoric again. It seems some people never learn—or prefer to learn the hard way. First, it was “Tinubu won’t win the primaries,” then “He won’t win the election,” followed by “He won’t survive the tribunal,” and even laughable claims that “The CIA will arrest him.” Now it’s “Tinubu is gone.” Time and again, your propaganda, lengthy epistles, and emotional outbursts collapse like a house of cards. Get ready—2027 will bring another resounding defeat.

God will help us against all our selfish leaders. The Lord is our strength.
Re: Obi Peter Commends Ganduje For Prioritizing His Health Urging Other Leaders... by emkz:
Why would Peter Obi do that?

Would there be anything wrong if he keeps quiet?

The issue is that religious divisions, ethnic strife, Chinese, Bangladesh and Indonesian models; odioys negativity, and ethnic superiority formed the cornerstones of the Peter Obi brand. His brand doesn't thrive on record of admirable achievements, innovative thinking, clarity of mind and decent conversations. He even publicly said he couldn't talk about his achievements in Anambra state but would rather talk about China.

Ganduje resigned, why try to mine political capital from it? He should visit Ganduje on a solidarity tour since that is what he does best.

He also said that other polit7cians should take a cue from Ganduje who allegedly resigned on health grounds. I think health is not only bodily, but there is also mental health, emotional health and mind health. I'd rather have someone who is physically infirm and mentally sound than someone who is mentally and mindfully infirm and physically fit. The job of a president requires wisdom in relating with people, resolving crisis, taking tough decisions and understanding others.

Peter Obi only understands pleasing a certain class of people. He may need to stick with his content creation role and stitching twitter rants until he understands what it entails to lead a diverse group of persons.

Health kwa, we all know it's power play for 2027. We know what politicians in Nigeria can do. I just pray Tinubu don't ruin this country with his game. It's too dangerous for this country.

Lmao . As long as there is no coalition and Obi continues to run outside of PDP , Tinubu will win . With or without the North .
For the first time ( for me sha ) one can quietly see Tinubu’s political moves . He is getting all of the governors of the key states under APC . With promises and/or threats . The mass defection from PDP to APC is to lockdown votes on Election Day . Wike is still in PDP causing a lot of havoc . PDP might get Wike out of their party but with the kind of resources and loyalty he has now , he can still reck havoc while out the party .
Obi HAS to shelf his presidency ambition now and pair with an Atiku to unseat Tinubu . I strongly believe Tinubu has undercover politicians pushing Obi to run solo . So the votes can stay divided in his favour. The last election shows what the numbers are and it will likely follow the same pattern except for south west voting more for Tinubu .
PS - it is easier to rig elections of states where the governor is in bed with you eg Rivers state despite being PDP .
2027 verdict - if there is no coalition, Tinubu will win with some small level of rigging by vote buying .
If there is coalition of Obi and Atiku , there will be massive rigging by vote buying and complicity from INEC for him to win .
