Yes. The agent sold me a 2.5Kwh battery but removed the label and replaced it with a 5Kwh battery that he created.

I kept complaining that it was running down fast. He took it from me for 2 weeks claiming he took it to the factory for repair. After it came back, the issue persisted. I was advised here to buy a shunt and the shunt exposed him. He told us that he has closed that business with us that we should only call him for a new business. We reported to Sako and they took it up. They were furious at him. The guy was just fraudulent.

Sako promised me a new battery and gave it to me yesterday.
Nice, nice. Glad it worked out for you.

Remember one guy coming here to say you should leave the case for God or some BS. On top your own money. Some people just funny.

Good day Solar Gurus

I hope you still remember me and the wahala I had after being defrauded and given a 2.5Kwh Sako lithium battery instead of a 5Kwh battery which I paid for.

GOOD NEWS: I’ve gotten my brand new 5Kwh battery.

Sako CEO got involved in the matter and promised me a new battery once their container comes back. She fulfilled her promise and I collected the battery yesterday. I must say that the customer service I received from Sako was premium and top notch.

The agent who defrauded me still tried every possible means to stop the company from giving me the battery. It was full blown war. He cooked up many lies and stories and tried to make the company believe that I and my technician are the fraud but the company looked through the whole smoke and saw the truth and gave me what I paid for. SAKO has won my heart shaa and I’ll advice anybody buying from them to go directly to the company. I have their direct link if anybody needs that though.

I want to specially thank everyone here who took their time and wealth of wisdom and experience to advise me on how to go about the stuff. Your advises paid off and I don't take it for granted. Thank you sooooooo much and God bless you all. May people that matter rise up and help you when you need them.

I also want to specially thank @Androblaze and @Dam5reey for the roles they played.
@Androblaze took it upon himself to help me. We chatted and talked for long on WhatsApp on the way forward. He was always reaching out to know how far and to advise on the way forward. What a man! This issue taught me a lot and also made me believe more in humanity again. I stopped posting here since as I was advised to stop as my enemy might be reading my strategies from here too. @Androblaze, my brother, thank you sooo much and God bless you and raise people to help you when you need them.

Below is the picture of the new battery. It is way heavier and bigger than the first one.

Sincerely, I thank God that I met this beautiful community of people willing to help each other achieve Solar energy independence. I've learnt a lot here and I keep learning. THANK YOU PLENTY!

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
GOD BLESS SAKO.😊

JUSTICE WON!!! 💪😃😃🎉
the question here is

how can people confirm they are being supplied the correct battery?
the agent should be named and his number provided so others will not fall into the same trap
is there a list of reliable sako dealers?

this is actually one of the reasons why i hate being in nigeria. because you have to dedicate time and resources to multiple cross checking of items you are buying

too many dubious and incompetent people unfortunately

My 10kva super smart inverter was affected by lightning as if you switch it on. It comes up and go off immediately. I got someone to check it and he said the lightning affected the power card. Gurus in the house, any idea how much it will cost me to repair.
you may need to deploy proper lightning protection

and lightning protection in nigeria can be tricky

people are buying indelec prevectron fro domestic house which as wayo. you dont need indelec for a domestic house. indelec is designed for protecting industrial facilities or commercial buildings. by design a prevectron attracts lighting so it is often installed in a secure /isolated part of a facility so your lightning strike does not affect anything

the regular arrester will be struck by lightning if the lightning comes close to the building

the other issue is earthing. conventional wisdom is everything should be on one earthing ring.

but if you have high earth resistance, the lightning strikes the arrester, goes to earth, then goes back into your system and fries everything

so i personally prefer to put my lightning protection separate from mains earthing - especially as no one does routine integrity testing

also and this is the big kicker - in many domestic installations, earthing is either non existent or very poorly done. you want resistance of less than 10ohms. most people will drop one earth rod and call it a day. you now test and see resistance of 200 ohms or more.

it is especially problematic in lekki and beyond which is sandfilled. so you actually have to dig through b or more metres of sand to get to the real earth

f you have a tank stand in your compound separate from your building put the arrester there that way you dont have to worry about surges induced by the arrester traveling to earth

also install surge arresters on the lines from your panels

@ Dam5reey1 and other Gurus in the house, please i seek advice.

i need to replace my quanta batteries on a 4kw/24v hybrid inverter, am looking of getting a Lithium battery pack. However i have a strained budget of #600k. i need a minimum of 3.5kwh, would have wished for a 5kwh. I also need wifi capability for the battery as i plan on integrating it to Home Assistant.

- Can you please suggest what i can get in this budget range?
- Would i be able to achieve 5kwh if i assemble it myself (am comfortable with electronics), even if i have to add a little bit more to achieve?

Thank you for the tremendous knowledge you share

How far abt this chief? Has it stop what ever reason that made you installed it? Your battery and co?

fuckboys:
I'm taking your advice chief, I just bought a 4ft earth rod and charcoal with salt to earth my system.

I wanna do it myself cos I feel it's a simple something that doesn't need an electrician.

Should I link it directly to the earthing of the inverter? Cos the inverter has an earthing port.

i have seen articles on the internet where experts talk about bonding all earth rods together to keep voltage potential to a zero value.

Just like mentioned above, you'd be able to build a 25.6v 150ah battery with Mr Reed's cells for under N460k, without BMS. Probably a similar range with Valto's cells.

Haisic's 24v battery is 8kw but over your price range at +800k I think. Cworth probably have a 24v battery at 200ah, but I don't have an idea of their price.

I doubt you'll be able to get any manufacturer's battery with built in wifi for that price though. If you don't build yourself your best bet would be to get the Juntek battery monitors (though you will not be able to see information at cell level), but you can use home assistant to manage it if you choose.

Congratulations for fighting this to the end, the heart of some men are really EVIL, imagine somebody rebadging battery and selling at the cost of a premium and endangering the company's reputation.

Men that agent for taste detention for one month join......
Sincerely I'm glad I didn't flinch throughout the fight. The agent was even surprised I fought that much and refused to back down. I think in the past, he defrauded people and they fought and left it for God but I refused to stop until I got what I paid for. I give God praise for everything.

Congrats again chief (though we've already spoken) and I must say this saga you went through thought me a lot also.

The patience and resilience you showed is not something I believed could be rewarded in Nigeria anymore, but to God be the glory.

As for that distributor, God will still deal with him where ever he is and I'd still love if he can be identified publicly so people can stay away from him. Also just like you advised, people on here should sacrifice time to go to the main companies themselves or at least use a trusted source someone has already vouched for here.

Really delighted this has ended well and I hope more people can learn to fight the long fight (I'm still praying God gives me that kind of patience) so we can have a better society at large.

Kudos to you my brother.
Ahhh my brother😃

Thank you once again for standing by my side throughout this fight.

The agents names is Elitab. He calls himself Elitab technologies.

Yeah and people should reach out to Sako directly if they wanna buy from them. They are really nice people. You can call any of these two:

John Sako: 09138189810
Happiness Sako: 08145788620

And such advise is the reason why our country is the way it is. Our leaders mess up and we don't fight it. The next leader will definitely know that he will go scot free if he messes up too.
