There is a pending court order restricting the VIO officers from being on the road. But of course, Nigeria is a country where the law is a respecter of certain groups of people.

Besides, why should VIO be on the road when their fees are auto-paid for each year when you renew your vehicle papers?

If they disobey court orders, why should I obey their checkpoints?

That VIO that went ahead to block the road with their bus, needs psychiatric evaluation.

I thought they've asked VIO not to come to the road to constitute nuisance again. Since their duty is to inspect vehicles only at the point of road worthiness issuance.

This guy and unnecessary noise. He could actually do this without causing any commotion. But, no, he does it to for clout and and wiuldn't have his flower if he doesn't present himself as a fighter/activist/hero.

The bottom line is, he's a social nuisance.

Absurd. Thats how they behave even in Warri. Will stand in the middle of the road so you can stop. I nor dey answer them. The VIO is not supposed to inspect a vehicle in motion. Inspect the motor when i come renew papers. Simple.

Even those saddled with the responsibility of keeping our laws hardly even know the law they are to keep and the few who actually know the law break the law, acting as though they are above the law.

If I have my way, VIO & Road Safety should be abolished.

Both of them are just out to extort private motorists.
A friend was once booked by Road Safety for a slight crack on his windscreen, but same Road Safety didn't bother a passat carrying cow with completely broken back windscreen.

Why should VIO block the road. Does VIO have the constitutional back up to block such a busy road? The legal minds should look into this to determine the legality of the action of the VIO

he’s not doing too much, he knows his right, most of us do too, but the fear of confronting a trigger happy officer gives one second thought.

I was actually disappointed that all comments before yours did not raise an eyebrow on the insults and vituperation heaped on an officer of the law discharging his duty. You wudnt do that to me. So long as am doing my job as I shud. All of us get bed psychiatric hospital, some of us just choose not to occupy am.
