Assuming this doctor was an igbo living and working in Yoruba land they will never honor him like this no matter the feat he broke or achieved undecided They will call it RoNu that if the person is not an indigene then let them 'hush' his achievements 😏

We all saw what happened to a small boy who wrote jamb and their local government chairman decided to honor . . . Hehehe 😂🤣 the story of our yolo brothers always writes itself
can't the Igbo man work in his landlocked region, must every igbo escape to Yoruba Land for greener pasture

Don't mind him Jare. It's like he's not well informed. I think about 3 or 4 youngsters from the Eastern region were made One day governors of Lagos some years ago. I think they did well in that spelling bee competition which made them to get qualified to be Lagos State one day governors. They are Ibos that lived and probably born in Lagos. Yorubas aren't such a tribalist as compared to Ibo people.....it's even a stale news to be hearing all these Ibo boys and girls making antiYoruba remarks all the time. It's high time the Ibos elders that are wiser told the younger ones that they can never get any friends in Nigeria than Yorubas. The Northerners ain't having any interest in keeping as friends cos of their unscrupulous attitude.

High time they stop that queer attitudes and stop hating people unnecessarily despite the fact that you can't even do without them.....

Putindbutt:
You must sha involve ibo, and when una collect, you go begin open mouth. As if ibo kids who did well academically and even in spelling bee competitions are not being recognized and given scholarships by Lagos state government. Stop putting your tribe in every issues, stop putting their legs in fire, dem no send you message.

I wonder why oyibo people didn’t ask him to go back to his country and study there.
So some people do rejoice when their kind is successful in other people’s community?

my brother that's the evil the APC has imported into our polity ,it is very dangerous and destructive, just for political advantage, what will now happen after the godfather tenure, will he now be preaching unity and reconciliation or will just retire to his home and allow Nigerians to sort themselves out, while he awaits his departure from earth

What an incredible and inspiring achievement by Dr. Timileyin Oluseyi! His success is not just a personal milestone but a proud moment for Nigeria, the African continent, and the global Black community. Winning all eight top awards in a prestigious residency program—and doing so with such grace, humility, and excellence—is a testament to his hard work, brilliance, and character.

The gesture of respect shown by the program’s leadership, especially their effort to honor him in accordance with Yoruba tradition, speaks volumes about the impact he made. Moments like these remind us of the power of excellence and the importance of cultural appreciation.

Congratulations, Dr. Oluseyi—you've not only set a new standard but also lit the path for countless others to follow.

Does a tree make a forest? Even a few trees don’t make a forest.

TheBedWench:
The one-drop rule is a social and legal principle of racial classification that was historically prominent in the United States in the 20th century. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry ("one drop" of black blood)[1][2] is considered black (Negro or colored in historical terms).

This concept became codified into the law of some states in the early 20th century. It was associated with the principle of "invisible blackness" that developed after the long history of racial interaction in the South, which had included the hardening of slavery as a racial caste and later segregation. It is an example of hypodescent, the automatic assignment of children of a mixed union between different socioeconomic or ethnic groups to the group with the lower status, regardless of proportion of ancestry in different groups.[3]

The one-drop rule is defunct in law in the United States and was never codified into federal law.

Haven't we seen many ibos being declared as best graduating student in Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos? Didn't we celebrate them? Don't bring tribalism here please.
