Di Maria and Belotti alone had very good chances to put us to the sword early in that extra time

Jackson would have blasted the shot straight at Otamendi.

By the way, we should all over that goalie in this window.
Benfica players are very expensive.

I’m not sure what the recruitment team or the owners see in João Pedro, because the stats just aren’t there. Yes, he’s only 23 and has the potential to develop—similar to some of our current wingers (Madueke and Neto) —but it’s worth noting that half of his goals have come from penalties. I don’t see him taking that responsibility away from Palmer anytime soon, which raises the question: where are his goals going to come from? We might be better off pushing Jackson to the left and using that money to invest in another proper top No. 9.

Chelsea players need to learn discipline oh.
That Palmer yello card was so unnecessary and cowil too...they should be careful of how they talk and react

We are playing champions League oh

I like Mbeumo too. But I sabi Wetin I dey talk.

That United team is disjointed. Too many egos plus toxic environment due to media attention. I see the possibility of Mbeumo not feeling at home or forming partnerships with his new teammates like he did with Wissa and Noorgard and Schade.

That’s why I’m not expecting him to be an instant success. IMO he had a freak season last season and there’s a good chance he won’t replicate those high scoring returns next season — even if he stayed at Brentford.

Doesn’t mean I’m against his signing. I’m just not giddy with excitement ni
I hear you.

One thing to note about him, though, is that his assist numbers have been consistent even back in the Championship. His goal output has also been fairly steady—last season being the one real outlier, as you’ve already pointed out. That said, I honestly hope he doesn’t come good for you guys, because if he does, it’s going to spell trouble for a lot of teams—including ours!

Lavia and Enzo will play. Andrey and Shin kicker Essugo in case the Brazil guys wán go physical

We should be fine.
The semi might be where we crash out

Hopefully a third place finish in the competition and I'm satisfied

I'd gladly accept it

But realistically we are likely to get city in the semis

And if we escape, there's PSG or Madrid in the finals

well he is almost 24, not so sure how much potential is left to develop, but I understand your view concerning his goals, he did score 20 the previous season though and you may feel suspicious because Brighton are selling an attacker they bought for 35m for 60m. I feel the reason chelsea want him is because of his creativity, they haven't been looking for a proper 9 since they signed delap and honestly I am not against having all three in them team, delap, jackson and pedro. signing pedro doesn't affect Jackson but nkunku as pedro plays all the positions nkunku plays, cf, lw, ss/am.

Pedro is a good player, better him than spending 70m+ on ekitike or sesko

Just watching the highlights after the break and all i can say is enzo Fernandez is a m.ad man. The chance palmer played directly to the keeper that benfica now countered from, the player ran in front of him like he was not there. Okay you no get speed but why not take one for the team by fouling the player.

Every Chelsea player that ran back during that counter ran past enzo, this was after having 2hrs break o.
Don't recall this incident, but Enzo is never there. A complete liability who makes our midfield a hot knife through butter

The same way they glide past him.isnthe same way he is late to every press, out of position when returning and causing overloads on our defence

Anybody with 10% football sense knows Chelsea are an instantly better team without him

See as Lavia-Caicedo combo had us with relaxed mind for all 86 mins yesterday
