But let me ask you a question, did you read it anywhere that those great philosophers never had or wished to have their own nuclear families? You sounded selfish to yourself and family which is strange. You were given birth to but didn't see anything wrong in not having your own kind. All the drama of life jumping up and down have no meaning to you? If Nigeria is a determining factor to having your own offspring then I must say you've lost your purpose

Some other persons have right to make their choices too of not bringing kids to this world.Nigeria is not even the reason why some persons decided not to have kids.There are countries that beg their citizens to give birth so it's not the issue of Nigeria.How many family names do you still hear their names just because they had kids without making impact in the world?

Of course I respect people's choices about life but the bone of contention here isn't about that but about tying having a family to economic look of a country and ignoring the purpose of life continuity. Your take was without offspring, you could still imprint a long lasting name for yourself through contributions to humanity which I 100 percent subscribe to. But holding on to that alone would underplay the significance of family and the purpose of life creation. Childbearing within a lineage isn't for name or legacy alone, it's you living on. It's a supposed unexplainable joy and pleasure of the heart you carve for yourself. It's one of the greatest gifts from God to man. You alone can't completely change the look of your lineage for the better , it may take your offspring to do that. That's a great blessing . So, if you do not make out plan to have one, what would God bless ?

on the issue of the worsened economic reality,The pastor was very clear and very correct. He said "give birth to the number of kids you can be responsible for".
Are you aware some persons in their 30s and 40s can't even take good care of themselves talk more of taking care of somebody else. Children are expensive. Go to Europe and America,they don't give birth to any number of kids they like because it's expensive to raise kids there.if some one should go with your advice,it means for someone that's struggling to feed,and stays under the bridge should go and marry and start giving birth. The best advice for that person would have been to fix his life first before thinking of having kids or getting married. Times have changed ooooo make we dey give ourselves brain.

I agree with you but I feel a man should be qualified to give marriage a shot if he has a steady income and an abode he can lay his head. If we are not born with silver spoon, we should be aware it takes time to be financial buoyant to take care of those "expensive life" you mentioned. But, who knows the time to attain such financial status ? It may be long or close , no one knows, so , that doesn't disturb anyone from doing the norm at the right time.
