Exactly. I feel like we've judged Kompany based on Burnley but people forget the management wanted him to play the same way they played in the lower division: attacking football. That's why Bayern hired him. Even the Bayern leadership praised him.

Leverkusen won the league unbeaten and almost won a treble. They were extremely good the previous season and Tuchel had no responses to anything Alonso was doing.

I know winning the league with Bayern isn't a big deal but returning them to glory was. And they had some historic achievements like the L column and number of goals etc

My instinct is telling me that Maresca will stick with double 8s and one 6 as the primary formation, due to Lavia's fitness issues. As a result, expect to see this often.
