TUANKU:That's true. Everyone would be forming superman with lies and deceits, that he or she gamed them. A pregnant woman would be at the airport, still denying that she wasn't coming to give birth. Right from the interview stage, my wife told them the intent and the money she had. At the Atalanta airport, she repeated the same reason. That was more than 13 years ago. We are used to cutting corners and be defending the lies with more lies and wip sentiments at the end, as the "victim", since we have normalised lies and deceits. |

Kudos to her for taking responsibility for her mistakes by admitting she messed up. Some other idiots would have been crying that Nigeria failed them. Other fools would have blamed another tribe or religion for their woes. Dry you tears and move on |

Probably she lied at the interview that she intended to go for visitation or tourism but after getting the Visa, now devised another thing to do in the US entirely. She must have gotten in touch with those trade fair individuals in the US, get the lists of stuff to bring to display and sell for profit......that's a violation of the visa B1/B2 in all its entirety. I believe she contacted the trade fair through her social media and must have had a lengthen discussion and arrangement in regards to the fair. We Naija always take things for granted. We do that too much in our everyday lives. Probably she believed that the real deal is to get the Visa and that alone is enough for her to do whatever she needs to do in the US. In applying for a Visa, the easiest stage is done locally in your country when you go for the interview. At this stage, you can be denied or given. The only cost to you is the Visa fee and other little expenses incurred in preparation of documents like international travel Insurance which ofcourse ain't required by some embassies. If you are given, good luck to you and if you are denied, you haven't spent a lot, just go back and restrategize by checking the reason you were denied and reapply again.....But and but, if you are given and thinking that your problem is over, I am sorry, the big problem you might face will be at the point or Port of entry.....those Immigration guys no get Joy, there own interview is quite penetrating and wouldn't give a hoot to send you back in minutes if there is available flight back to your destination. That's the most difficult part of travelling, Entry Point of the country you are travelling to.....I have seen husband being turned back but allowing the kids and the wife to enter......I have seen Students despite after paying school fees and everything but turned back at the point of entry.......it's distrastrous getting to the point of entry and you are turned back, think about the emotional breakdown, the expenses, the embarrassment......you have told people that you are traveling and suddenly you reappear again after seeing you airborne down to foreign land.....You can now see that the Visa appointment hurdles and granting is a small kettle of fish but a big hurdle, mountainous hurdle is your point of entry.......Please be guided......always be transparent while applying for visa.....say the truth and nothing but the truth and let your truth be constant cos whatever you declared in your visa interview that made them granted you the visa is what the point of entry immigration personnel will base their interview on.......Don't say you don't know anybody in the US while attending interview but on getting to the point of Entry, you now say that your families and friends are residents in the US...... Any information that has a suspicious of lies is going to get you penalized and the result is often deportation. ednut1: |

I expect this to happen more to terrorists sympathizer in coming days. You ran to US for greener pasture because your region was not supporting peace. Only to be there and be chanting free Palestine 😂 You'll have to go back to Palestine or Iran to find a life |

Donald Trump is setting seriously dangerous precedent in America. We all know countries like to copy America. How long before they replicating same thing here and start arresting citizens for speaking against government or making fun of them? |

wirinet:Why are you jumping through hoops to get visa to country you don't agree with their policies.? How does this make sense to you Yes you do support lgbtqia otherwise you wouldn't go there and be quiet unlike here where you can mock/rebuke and discriminate them openly Land of the free indeed.name somewhere freer Mind you, in this case, I don't blame the immigration officers for deporting this lady. Lying, dishonesty and deceit are cultural norms in Nigeria, we tend to lie, even when it's unnecessary. Here are some examples of cultural lies; when we are poor, we say we are rich, when we are sick, we say we are strong. We lie in Visa applications when it's is utterly unnecessary. |

MIKOLOWISKA:So every American citizen agree with the policies of every American administration? That I do not support LGBTQ does not mean you mock/rebuke or discriminate against them. It simply means you don't agree or support their lifestyle. Same way I don't agree with Tinubu’s or current Nigerian policies, eg subsidy removal, floating of currency and excessive taxes. Does that mean I am no longer a good citizen? name somewhere freerMost of Western Europe are freer. Their government don't see opposing opinions as enemies, they don't punish citizens, non citizens and visitors or aspiring visitors for holding opposition opinions. |
