Man shares his experience with police officers in Lagos; he was stopped and charged for driving his new car he bought and registered a day ago without a plate number on it then later extorted him!! They collected 50,000 Naira from him. See their faces !!!

Nigeria police on the road are set of criminals in disguise. They even carried guns to perpetuate their crimes.

The car owner is a young inexperienced rookie. He is not wise and I will not tell him why.

He will find out himself, when he continues to get extorted every week by the police.

Police don open office for him head, na steady cash out for them, till he wise.

I rest my case.

Wait till you get the necessary documents for your car before start driving. The police on the road are not primarily for security but just to get bribe

Exactly cos the car dealer you bought the car from would definitely offer to get you license plates. Maybe he refused cos he had someone who promised to do it at a more cheaper rate.

He had the plates on him he just didn't fix it because he said he just got it and it was late. No panel beater to put it on.

They didn't extort him for not fixing plate, they claimed the documents for the vehicle license were fake because his Story as to when he paid for the plate and when he got it wasn't true.

You are liable for driving a car without plate numbers and documents, stop playing victim card here. You are even lucky that the policemen did not perform their main duty, they would have impounded your car

How do you drive home then? With which papers?
The law says you are giving one to get your papers Month before any legal actions

Bro I got my license plates the same day I bought my car.

What are they registering that should take them one week? Unless the person doing it for him was just lazy. Cos there's nothing special in registering license plates. Just your regular biodata and Voila the plates are ready.

The Police officer was correct.
The dates did not add up and he was driving around without plate numbers.

The police men messed up when they collected bribe.

Yes, till the papers are ready. How do you drive home then? Or you buy and leave for Car dealers to resale to another person?
The law says one month even though you can get the papers within one to 3 days. But if you buy the car on weekends? Won't you take it home for your papers to be ready or what if you have an emergency like medical emergency or accident that requires immediate attention, won't you use your car to get things done because the papers are not ready.
The police should just check the details and the invoice of the car simple
