Here is the thing, local vigilantes are more effective in fighting insurgents. Those guys are protecting their land hence they have the morale.
Nigeria army however, no morale. They are not well paid, no will power, I once heard a soldier saying he can't go and die because he is protecting one aboki in one village. And then no patriotism. The "I will die for my country ' mentality isn't there. Who wants to die for Nigeria?

That's why I'm a supporter of Federal government singing into law allowing automatic rifles particularly those at rural areas. This rascality will end 👌💯
