Please I need your honest opinions on Mercedes Benz GL 500 4matic in terms of the maintenance, parts availability, durability and fuel consumption.
One of my friend wants to buy the SUV.
The dealer demands for 13m. Pls is it a good buy for that amount.

GL 500 or GL550?
Pls, confirm, I don't think mercedes made any GL500, what they have is GL450. GL550.

That said, if your friend wishes to buy a 2015 GL full size SUV for 13m, he needs to have his head examined ASAP.

I don't know this Mercedes well, but. 2015 Benz and 13M don't go together. Car is likely abused.
Also, if fueling is a concern, I would stay away from Benz not because of fuel consumption per say, but maintenance costs to keep it in top shape are steep.

I don't doubt that model for that price though, the last one I saw was a 450 for 4m but had plethora of issues.

1. Maintenance cost is extremely high
2. The balloon shocks (air suspension) would frustrate the owner
3. Running cost is high {fuelling, fluid changes and parts like tyre etc)

Not one of the best for making a statement, the design is just there. If you are buying because it Is cheap, ensure to inspect it well, what you save in purchase will be balanced at the repair shop.

You can't get a 2009-2010 prado for that amount. A 2009 prado is the 150 series which ran till 2024
