She too should go into farming as part of her own contribution to the national food effort.

Sitting in your comfortable place mouthing criticism is not enough.

Get into your booth, grab a cutlass and shovel and get into your backyard and work. Grow pepper. You are not more special than the farmers growing pepper.

If you don't have a backyard, get a small farmland somewhere. You can even employ a farm hand to help you.

Sitting on a high horse asking how people on N70k can afford pepper is not going to magically make pepper cheaper. Producing more pepper will.

Chinese and other serious people around the world get on with doing things. They don't wait for their government to subsidise everything for them, including pepper.

There is no country in the world where everything is cheap.

In Nigeria, Rice was around N150k a few months ago. Now, it is around N65k. Beans was also super expensive, but I hear it is much cheaper now.
If pepper is expensive now, as a seasonal product, a time will come when it too will be cheaper.

how much is a bag of pepper. In our various homes, people can't afford the fresh pepper again. What people are buying is party jolloff sachets tomato 🍅 paste. The inflation on foods are unbearable.

Pepper is pretty expensive
