Guys ,Let me advise about buying fake devices which is rampant all over Lagos,from computer village, lawanson, trade fair Alaba,Saka Tinubu vi, Ikorodu garage,this scourge of adulterated devices is unbelievable on the increase

I saw an advert for sale online in respect of a low entry device Oppo a15s being paraded as UK used device

Did a background check on the device with the given imei number on the carton, this supposed device came with,and my investigation show me something funny 😂🤣

Look at what was package inside Oppo a15s ,a certain 2015 device was package as a15s and was being sold

For those who don't really understand the wayo/fraud that was done here, a 2015 panel or board of an outdated device from Oppo was used by some unscrupulous elements to manufacture a 2020 device without the knowledge of the brand Oppo.

Such devices won't spend up to a month of usage ,all sort of problems would be happening at the same time, because it is fake,fake,fake.

People who buy such devices complain of WhatsApp not working, WhatsApp won't work with Android 5 (lollipop) of an outdated and conpromised device

For the iPhone lovers,the panel of iPhone 8 or x sef can be worked or used inside the frame of iPhone 14 or 15 and sold at market rate to tech novices who don't know how to do due diligence

It's not the "panel" that was used to give the device an identity.It is simply that the IMEI of an extinct device was used to give the device an identity.There are a lot of androids tools that can be used to achieve this . In short, Android IMEI numbers can be changed or rewritten.

You are right. It's also possible Oppo reused only the IMEI of the older phone to reduce costs, especially if it was onsold.

That's why doing IMEI checks especially with Chinese and double sim phones isn't always so reliable, better to use serial numbers if you are able too.

Could be a really old android device or an Oppo device meant for China that is region locked. A lot of apps will never work on a region locked device until it the restriction is removed
