For Agriculture to succeed in Northern Nigeria the Entire land of each estate must be fenced thereby reducing any herders farmer conflict.

That is the way forward. What do you guys think. If we can fence our housing estates why not our farms.

I travelled from Windoak to Walvis Bay in Namibia over 400 miles on both side of the road is wire mesh stopping any land invasion. What do you guys think.

I already have FG this advice last year I hope they adhere to it fully as the president has started facing the agricultural sector properly

Nice one. Nobody leave their land unfenced but we would leave our farmland unfenced. Does it make sense.

The idea is good but the implementation is always a Challenge. It is a well known fact that some people in authority are fueling the farmers-herders conflict.

Once you have fenced your farm the only way u come is through the main gate just like a university gates. U will need to guide your cows through the main gate to gain access to the farm.

Is it not private farms we're talking about here? Let the farmers fence their farms and not wait for the government

I agree with you. This is a no brainer. We are no more in the 60’s

Refer to the Land Use Act. RUGA plan failed because the "land owners" were not willing.

What stops private individuals from buying farm land and fencing it just the way u fence your housing estate land.

What also stops herders from buying land and fencing their cows in it?

Why is your solution looking so biased?

Is it not easier to fence cows than to fence farms?

So if I have 100 hectares of farm I should first spend hundreds of millions of naira fencing it which the herders can still break through and feed on the farm?

The problem I've noticed with you guys is that you guys love leaving the root cause of a problem and try to start fighting the symptoms while the problem persists and that includes Tinubu....

And for you to even believe that there is something called farmers/herders clash has given you away...

This is one major reason why Nigeria is the way it is, when common sense and logic is thrown away for supremacy battle....
