Guys, I want to create a website like a classified listing site that'll have the following :


Premium listing subscription

Affiliate links for users who refer users who subscribe for premium or top or homepage listing

Messaging between users and listers who list stuff

List / Grid View options .....etc


WHICH PLUGIN(S) CAN HELP ME ACHIEVE THIS EASILY ?

If you cant Dev from scratch with AI make use of Osclass with a nice theme. You can't use WordPress for this, for a classified, WordPress is too resource intensive. Osclass is like a lighter version of WordPress designed specifically for classified ads and listing websites. (It means a lot of features are already setup for you by default)

On an average VPS with 8 gigabyte of ram and about 4 cores of CPU WordPress with all your necessary plugins will only server about a thousand users concurrently. Osclass on the same machine will do 4000 users.

Note: Virtual private servers VPS are way way more dedicated and powerful compared to conventional shared hosting

To code with AI you need to be at least a junior developer already otherwise you will run into a lot of ish.

Osclass is a very popular cms. Just check out zeta theme on osclass...you'd love it.

With osclass you can integrate all the payment processors you want.

Of cuz, coding it yourself with AI gives you limitless possibilities

Use wordpress if you're familiar with the environment. If not contact someone to build to your specification.

You can buy some wordpress themes to help you achieve this but it might get technical same with Osclass.

a blogging cms. To do something else you will pack a lot of extra plugins that will eventually affect your optimization on the long run.

WordPress as it is, is already bulky enough and comparatively resource intensive compared to osclass. Osclass is like a tonned down version of WordPress for classifieds. And yes, Osclass has a huge library of plugins and themes too.

Elementor is a visual builder for wordpress. It's good for building clean and beautiful and responsive frontend but it won't do much for you when it comes to logic. Even for the frontend job, you will find yourself buying and installing tonnes of plugins for every simple thing.

Study a bit more, do some research on Osclass and learn that CMS. It's the right scripts to use. Cars45, Jiji and Olist etc started of on osclass.

I bet they are still using a custom version of osclass in their core.

Doska.ykt is a Russian classified ads platform I helped build in the past and we used Osclass for that too.

A classified website is actually a broad project. It will come with categories and sometimes subcategories. You'll also need to allow the upload of multiple images. You'll need an implementation of a good logic to make management of subscription fees flexible.

Then most importantly and just like someone said above, you'll need a good hosting platform. But it's all doable provided you have the financial capacity. I can help you build it from scratch if you want. Let's talk!

WordPress has evolved over the years and can build classified easily. You just need to someone to help you build a custom solution plugin.

Nah the core of WordPress plugin is the problem. Mind you I have been developing custom WordPress plugins for 7 years and I even contributed twice to the main WordPress repository.

It's like trying to drive to Abuja from Lagos. You are presented a MAN(WordPress) trailer and a 2015 highlander.(Osclass)

Both will get you there. But you get the point🥲 whatever core plugins you build for the MAN trailer, you are just adding more problems to it. It was never designed from the ground to be a utility vehicle. It is for large haulage🥲
