Veteran journalist and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has cautioned the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, to tread carefully ahead of the 2027 general elections, warning that nobody is indispensable to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Momodu said this in a post on his personal facebook page on Tuesday, predicting that internal wrangling would soon hit the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I knew this day would soon come when katakata would burst within the ruling APC. Many of our political pundits lack a proper understanding of contemporary history.

“How could anyone think Tinubu’s STYLE would ever change after capturing Lagos State unchallenged for 26 years?”

According to him, the speculation over purported Tinubu’s plan to replace Vice President Kashmi Shettima is not new, citing the case of former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

“What is happening to Vice President Shettima today is not new; it happened to several Deputy Governors in Lagos.

“Governor Ambode was the biggest casualty, and Governor Sanwo-Olu only narrowly escaped recently.”

Reacting to the recent resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the APC, Momodu said more unexpected events will unfold, describing Ganduje as a tragic hero who took bullets for Tinubu.

“But sooner rather than later, more unexpected events will unfold.

“On Abdullahi Ganduje, he’s a tragic hero who took bullets for Tinubu. But, like all lackeys, his usefulness has expired. My friend Akpabio should beware,” he warned.

Continuing, the PDP Chieftain said no politician should his or herself of being indispensable, noting that the current power absolutely belong to Tinubu.

“This current power structure is absolutely for Tinubu. No one should deceive themselves—no one is indispensable, and everyone is expendable when it becomes necessary.

“The PRINCE does not entertain competition. This is the season of Machiavelli. More victims will fall on the battlefield. No one is sacred,” Dele Momodu added.

This was what I kept asking myself about all those who were supporting Tinubu to become president in 2023 who are now trying to collect back what they willingly gave to him, especially El-Rufai, I kept on asking; do these people ever learn?

Akpabio is just like any other typical sycophant with loud noise and exaggerated influence. Atiku won Akwa Ibom in 2023.

This is not a Tinubu thing but politics in general. Politicians focus on their personal interest above everything else. You need to be very cunning and smart at the same time. Have allies but keep them at arms length and have enemies that are unaware their actions are benefiting your goal.

I personally support the replacement of Shettima, how can your caucus go against the policies of your principal and you kept mute, you couldn't put them in check , that tax reform bill revolt by ndume and the borno governor plus the sudden rise in insecurity in borno has shown the vp lacks capacity.

After convincing Fubara to fight Wike, Dele Momodu is now an expert on Tinubu.

Dele Momodu fell out with Wike after Wike ruined Atiku's chance of becoming president in 2023. Same Dele Momodu had carried himself to visit Wike and helped Wike sell his projects. That Wike is organizing press conferences where he talks recklessly is a legacy of Dele Momodu.

Now, when Fubara and Wike got into a disagreement, Dele Momodu sided Fubara. After Fubara landed in trouble, all those who encouraged him to fight abandoned him, including Dele. Now, Dele has shifted to Akpabio.

If Dele is so good, why can't he resolve the PDP crisis? If he is so good, how come Atiku had a poor media marketing campaign in 2023? How come Atiku had several poor press conferences after his petitions were thrown out for lack of merit?

As for Ambode, Ambode undermined party leaders and they got fed up with him. Tinubu had no way to protect him. As for Sanwo-Olu, he probably overstepped as they said he allocated prime land to certain individuals who may claim rights in future against Lagosians. He was also accused of undermining the political structure in the state without consultation. It is wrong to say Tinubu pocketed Lagos. If he did, how come he lost it in the presidential elections? Of the 4 leading candidates, only Tinubu lost his home state.

As for saying Tinubu does not entertain competition, there is no sense there. The problem is that Tinubu thrives because the competition is weak. In Lagos, the competition presented weak candidates since 2011. Towards 2027, all opposition parties are weak.

Dele, stay in one place.

Dele momodu has painted clear picture of person he has known for a long time.How Tinubu lured El-Rufai with largesse and other bargaining chips to drum up support for himself in the north prior to 2023 presidential election was clinical and deft only to stage a proxy war against him for total exclusion from his cabinet because he Tinubu was well aware of El-Rufai's desperate presidential ambition.

E don cast, Men are about to be served hot hot. Even Kwankwaso that's the hottest bride might be retired forever. Now it's obvious why Gov Zullum and Sen Ndume have been blowing hot since last year. VP Shetimma must have shared his problems from the Aso rock with them , the rebellion started till Ndume got suspended (he knows politics is local and his people will still vote for him📌👌💯). They couldn't voice out the main problem till Ganduje spearheaded the palace coup at the northeast endorsement of Tinubu in Gombe (Sunday morning coup 🤷). Ganduje was shortly dumped in less than two weeks. Now the stage is open, free for all fight have started. Mu-Mu ticket will be very hard to sell

On this I will disagree with dele momodu, Tinubu does not betray loyal followers. And I think this one reason why many people are following him , if he stands by you ,he will support you to the last ,that is one character about him. Dropping shetima will be for strategic political reasons and even Shettima too will be aware and if things works out fines ,he knows he will be adequately compensated

You are right bro. Eno is standing on a quick sand that will soon give way for his final immersion into political oblivion.

As for Tinubu, I pity him for wasting his remaining strength to campaign allover the country. He will not get 30% of votes in Akwa Ibom that I know. Akpabio might get 2019 treatment again

Whether Tinubu retains Shettima or not, the bottom line is he won't get the same amount of votes in 2027blike he did in 2023, the way and manner the north supported in 2023 ,he won't get that kind of support ,reason why he is quickly trying to pull all southern governors to his side but that won't work ,because the governor's too will be having their own battles to in 2027 .
The only option left for Tinubu is to create more states ,doing this will break the opposition ,stretch their finances and maybe give Tinubu a chance

That's why u people can never match his political dexterity. He is only shuffling his cabinet for better election triumph. He is the only trust worthy politician in Nigeria who build people, use them, and still retain them. Even those who betrayed him are still forgiven and accommodated. Bob D should making politics look personal, there is a certain dynamics it takes to win an election. Kwankwaso can deliver 4m votes easily from Kano, it would only be stupid to not engage him. Peter Obi made the mistake of choosing a running mate that couldn't win his LGA and look how that turned out. Politics is about numbers and what you are willing to do to get it. As for Shetima, Ali modu Sherrif controls the state and VP is one of his boys, satisfy Ali and the state is yours.
