Chasing Investors while the economy is plummeting is not wise @ all. Investors know when to invest in a country and not by lies and propaganda. Reality is clearer than ever envisaged.

Another d.ic measuring contest fa. Na this statistics we wan chop? The $35 billion Ras El Hekma coastal development in 2024, led by Abu Dhabi’s ADQ, was a standout: it alone accounted for most of the USD 46 billion FDI inflows.
The Ras El Hekma coastal development project is a large-scale urban, tourism, and investment initiative aimed at transforming Egypt's North Coast into a major international destination. The project, a collaboration between Egypt and the UAE, involves developing a new city with residential areas, hotels, resorts, entertainment venues, and essential services on over 170 square kilometers.
Our Lagos Calabar coastal highway is 700 kilometers and about $10billion but the funding is not FOREIGN so will not be counted as FDI anyway.
Imagine if Nigeria wanted to do something great on 170 square kilometers, opposition will make all kinds of noise and say things like we should continue with what we have on ground.
When Tinubu's FDI results start coming in, hope people will not start having seizures like they do when we remind them of Lagos.
My friend will you please shut up about this Lagos thing. It is sickening already!

Tinubu lied to the entire Southwest that if his party is voted into power, the whole of Southwest would be like Lagos. We have all seen the aftermath.

He lied to the entire Nigeria that if he is voted into power, the entire Nigeria would be like Lagos. He has grabbed it and from the trajectory so far, it is F 9 parallel.

All those lies about building Lagos bla bla bla can only work on the gullible minds. Since Tinubu could not replicate same in Ogun, Osun etc, it should be clear that the position of the opposition that Tinubu did not contribute anything to any progress in Lagos is correct.

So please respect yourself and keep Lagos out of the conversation and out of your mouth

As usual. Loud criticism of Tinubu by people with no sense.

The low foreign investment was caused Primarily by the overvalued naira and dual exchange rate, which drove away investors.

Tinubu came in in 2023 and floated the Naira, ending dual exhange rates.

You are looking at 2024 stats and blaming Tinubu for low foreign investment.

Was he supposed to have transformed the investment climate in one year?

Senseless people.

why are you blaming opposition for tinubus failure?

I thought he has been travelling for the purpose of bringing "foreign investments"?

where are the "foreign investments"?

how many countries did the president Elsisi and the rest on the list travel to "secure" foreign investments?

I thought you ass lickers and propagators of tinubu propaganda have been saying "tinubu has secured" this and that?

what of the $15b investment he "secured" when he went to India almost two years ago?

is it part of the "Tinubu's FDI results" that you are coming?

So what's the point of comparisons when the second position stands that low, this implies that Egypt has so much attractions more than the rest African countries, nothing new show us the years before this current year.

How can anything have ''failed woefully'' when it's barely been in force for 2 years?

What schools did you people attend to make you reason like toddlers?

Indian companies pledged $15 billion investment in 2023, and in under 2 years you expect their investments to be on ground here.

Do you realise that major investment projects can take up to 5 or 6 years from conception to actual operation?

You're just kids on this forum. You don't know anything.

Can you invest 🤔 in a country 🤔 without the most important things eg Light. No security. No road. Police and army everywhere taking money from citizens hand on the road. Without this things put in place no country will ever work, no matter the propaganda and lies it will not work. The Truth is bitter to Nigerians. They prefer 😏 suffering and smiling. They hate the truth.

Even DRC got more foreign direct investments than Nigeria? Unless you are a mafia, or have no qualms with illegalities (example Chinese companies), investing millions of dollars in Nigeria can be gut wrenching. You stand to make huge profits oO, but...
Congo DR has some of the most precious metals on earth, including rare earth metals. There are huge rewards to be gained despite the risks in the country. That is a possible explanation.

Under Jonathan Nigeria attracted more FDI than any country in Africa but under APC we can't even attract 1.2 billion dollars ...no amount of propaganda can hide the failure of the Buhari and Tinubu regimes , they are monumental failures
Re: Egypt Attracted $46 Billion FDI While Nigeria Attracted $1.08 Billion by blackboy(m): 7:59am On Jul 02, 2025
Even the so called attracted by Nigeria where is it to show? Insecurity , corruption in civil service/government and poor power Nigeria can never meet any where near Egypt untill those problems are solved.
No country is perfect but Nigeria's own is a norm and the government is not ready to solve it. Are we to blame the common man? Yes and no. If the government can seriously face the insecurity, power problem and punish corrupt officials everyone will sit tight. Change will take place
