Please who can explain what’s going on here?, I did a reset on my meter and used 2.26kwh and only charged 2.17kwh till battery full again

Is the error from the battery or from the junctek shunt?
I don't get what you are seeing as an error here. If I am right, I believe your battery is like 4kw, so you clearly didn't drain it fully.

If you are expecting a battery that was half drained to match 100% the reading for draining and re-filling I think you are forgetting how lifepo cells behave especially with a BMS controlling things.

I don't think the discrepancy leaves much to be worried about considering the type of cells Haisic would use...you could test further by fully draining and fully recharging, the figures should match more closely or at least the gap shouldn't increase by much.

*One of my customer bought 4 units of DEYE 5kwh lithium battery* 2 months ago and the customer he was supposed to use them for suddenly started prosponding the job and the problem is he purchased the batteries with his own money and now he urgently in need of cash so he decided to sell 2 units out of the 4 units @1.450m each because he bought them at 1.7m each but he is willing to give it out for 1.450m

Is this a good deal?
Seeing as you can get 5kwh batteries from pretty much every other brand at ~1.2m brand new, probably not.

Bad deal it is
He made a financial mistake, you shouldn't.

Final Setup

6kw Deye Offgrid
14kW Panels (3x605w JA Solar, 12x440w Jinko, 10x500w Cworth)
Victron 150/70 Charge controller
26.5kw Deriy Lithium and Cworth Lithium in Parallel with Busbar
Victron Smart shunt 300A
Junktek 100A shunt
Raspberry Pi 5 (running Solar Assistant)
Orange Pi 3 (running Solar Assistant)
Windows NUC (running Home Assistant)
Starlink for home internet
GLi.net router

Programmed Home Assistant using YAML for various automation, and created sensors from mqtt stream from SA. Influxdb for database. It also shows live individual power consumption of each devices in the house through smart plugs HA integration and custom auto-entites.

Since we going all in on renewable energy, gas hobs were replaced with ‘real’ induction cooker (max 3000w on highest settings with all 4 burners on, enamel cast iron pots).

Average daily load 30kW (Home Assistant programmed to do load management automatically, with pv forecast, so 3 AC, Induction hob, water heater, microwave , airfryer etc, every device is connected and will never exceed the 6000W rating of the inverter)

100 percent off grid, ie Island mode, no physical connection to grid. The wife is happy, I’m happy.

If you need any guidance on home assistant coding for your set up, you can private message me.
Hi Boss what a nice and enticing setup.
Please i need your digits let me chat you up.

It's a wealthy mistake i must say, how can a person invest his money in buying components for a client without collecting at least 5-20% of the total sum as commitments/advance. It's a woeful financial decision!

You are fine. As long as you stay under the maximum voltage of the controller, you are okay. The controller will pull enough amps to charge the battery. Imagine you solar panel array as a bank, your controller will withdraw the amps it needs. You can have a 10kw solar array but require 2300watts (10amps). The charge controller will pull the the required amps from the array to match the load. Overpaneling helps tremendously in low light conditions ( early morning, evening and cloudy weather). Go ahead. You are fine.
Are you saying , for instance I have 6 590w jinko panel with an hybrid inverter of 3.2kva 3000w with 400v headroom, that I can connect all 6 in series with no effect on the hybrid inverter, which is more than the 3000w rating of the hybrid inverter

yes so long the 6 panels is under 400v which is the max pv voltage of the inverter.

There will be no effect on the inverter, inveter will take 3000w max it needs and the rest of the pv power unusable

KudozInteriors:
Good morning Solar Gurus🙌

Thank you all for the great work done here.

Please I have a question:
I want to upgrade my Solar panels and from my little research, transformerless inverters thrive on more volts and panels with more volts and less current are good for solar connections as with lesser current, your wires don't heat up. And normally, when a panel has more volts, it will have less current.

So I wanted to sell off my panels and get new ones as I currently have 4 panels acclaimed to be 550 watts each and 2 of them are Canadian of which I'm not sure they're even up to 450 watts.

I wanted going for 6pcs of Jinko 550watts panels which will amount to 750k (125k each) and produce 240 volts and total of 3300 watts but my good friend that is a well trained installer advised me to buy the kind of panels he's using…said he got them from a reliable source: 380watts for 85k each and produces 37volts. If I buy 10pcs, this will cost me 850k with total of 3800 watts and give me 370volts against the 240 volts from the 6pcs of Jinko and lesser current for my wires. According to him, vendors buy from his source and change the label to 450 watts.

Please what do you advise I do?

Thank you do much🙏
Chief, just like HB said, the two deals are practically the same.

Even if you factor price and change it to 7 Jinko (875k, 3800w). Also the Jinko panels have the added advantage of being from a brand that none of us is complaining of and also you will have fewer panels on your roof which is also a plus.

Hello fam. Been following this page . So insightful. I'm looking for a cost efficient but reliable set-up to power the loads below of course not all at once. Kindly advise as I don't want to make a mistake. And what inverter is recommended

My current load:

1hp non inverter hisense AC
100 watt TV
Laptop
2 ceiling fan and 2 standing
Microwave 1050watt
Air fryer 1350watt
Electric kettle 1500watt
1hp pumping machine

This may be likely error 53 or 06, which is related to unstable output voltage

You should consider taking it to a repair centre.

BTW, did you use sometime slightly heavy on it?

never use heavy appliances on it,I off the inverter myself because the battery is low and it's about to rain, when I switched it on the following day,it was displaying like that.Thank you

Looks good. Can a high frequency inverter handle the surge in the long run? And can a 24v inverter handle a non inverter AC please
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 3:43pm On Jul 02, 2025
I don't really know what could be the issue, but then fingers can also be pointed to the surge since you said it rained.
