Maybe if they are told in layman terms, what this means is that Nigerians have been asked to pay more money to the current government through more tax reach and levies and loans (which the receivers are still going to pay back, I think they forget they will have to pay it back later, perhaps it's because they feel they won't need to pay it back) just so that the Caribbean countries specified can enjoy free education.

That aside sef, we have hundreds of thousands of Nigerians who are willing to study the said medical courses but can't do so because we don't have enough institutions. Yet Baba is bringing in foreigners to occupy some of the very few available spaces. And someone thinks it is justifiable. Na wah!

Before America gave scholarships and jobs to foreigners , their citizens were mostly fully employed and there was a need for more hands to work. Don't mind Reno and the ronu people, they obviously reason through their anuses . Were Americans jobless when America gave scholarships and jobs to foreigners ? What are the parameters used to determine that those guys would do better than Nigerians in the same field ? Even Jesus and Mohammed ensured their people were satisfied before they took their messages to the outsider. Are Nigerians satisfied? Do we have jobs ?

British Virgin Island is an archipelago in the Caribbean covering153 km², almost 5 times smaller than Saint Lucia. They even have a population of 39,000, about 5 times smaller than Saint Lucia.

In a 2021 Premium Times report, it was revealed that Peter Obi incorporated a fraudulent shell company called Gabriella Investments Limited where he hid funds and never disclosed to the Code of Conduct Bureau as a public official. Gabriella is the name of one of his two children. Peter Obi defended himself that he did not break any law.

He actually broke a law. As a governor, he had no business having a private business. Also, he ought to have declared his interests after leaving office as is required.

Since Peter Obi has criticized Tinubu's visit to Saint Lucia and has positioned himself as a political puritan in the messianic binge, we need clarifications as follows:

(1) Why did Peter Obi hide an investment in British Virgin Island, a country slighter bigger than Agulu, Anambra State but with Agulu having almost 100% more in population than British Virgin Island?

(2) Considering that Agulu is an associate member of the Organization of East Caribbean States (OECS), is Mr Peter Obi afraid that cooperation between the OECS and Nigeria (if it happens) may lead to revelation of the investments and possible requittal if the source of the funds are found to be proceeds of corruption?

(3) Why is Peter Obi obsessed with doors of cooperation opening between Nigeria and the Caribbean?

They regard Mr President’s offer as an honour and privilege, and they all rose in applause when he announced it in the St Lucian parliament, with their Prime Minister rising to specially thank him for the offer.

So they don’t see Nigeria the way You see Nigeria.

About regarding Nigeria or not, it is simple commonsense. How many St Lucians have been to Nigeria? How many can locate Nigeria on a map?
Anyone going to a country to settle and work will be interested in finding out information about the country and I'm sure if you were a St Lucian and you searched for information about Nigeria's labour environment only to see minimum wage of $35 pm when your country does $1131 pm, I'm sure you will think twice before packing your bags to the country. It is simple logic bereft of emotions. Labour moves to where there is better conditions of service and emoluments. Nigeria of today cannot compete with St Lucia in that regard. Anyone earning $1,131 in Nigeria will be viewed as being handsomely paid while in St Lucia, he is at the bottom of the ladder. It is not a coincidence that more Nigerians are moving out to low ends jobs in the West. It is not a question of sentiments but facts. Meanwhile, St Lucia has various exchange and visa related programs that makes entry to the US quite easier for them as a Carribean Island nation. Now I ask you. If you were a Lucian citizen, would you leave the opportunity to be in the US to go to Nigeria?
