I'm very happy with this development, at least a strong opposition will make the party in power perform and work for the people but the truth is that these are the same crop of politicians. They are now seen as saints, anyway time will tell.

A realistic and pragmatic assessment of the issue will show that a fresh, young and new crop of politicians haven’t got a chance in hell in dislodging Tinubu and his gang! It would have been a different case if Tinubu plays fair and allows free and fair elections in which the electorate use their ballot to determine who wins any election! You need a crop of players who are wise to the antics of the party in power and can out-manoeuvre them!

With this, I don't see the coalition really serious about winning the election, many issues will start rising genuinely because the party was hijacked which would not have been if it happens to be a new party.
Hope they know PDP will field a candidate, LP will also field one too. Don't write off the dividing effect of these parties. Remember it's only the masses that's bothered about governance, what concern these people is power and politics which is all about interest.
