Go and check the record of this Judge, he is probably a member of the redeem cult. If this rape case was against any pastor from middle belt, you will see how the judge will throw him to Jail. |

No evidence it means it lacks credibility kudos to the judges |

Witness as how? Is someone supposed to witness the act before? This case is simply a case of word against word. But anyhow, something around Dat kind of thing happened somewhere around them. |

The idea of arresting before working up a case as done by Nigerian security agencies is appalling. You have limited evidence, limited or no witnesses, but you hastily arrest and publish the case with pictures of the possibly innocent person. Even though the case has been struck out now, this man's name is now forever attached to this defilement case....what if he's innocent? Who will go about deleting all the embarrassing details online? How will this affect his life moving forward? Nigerian security agencies must learn to do their due diligence before going public. I'm particularly targeting the EFCC and the NPF on this post. Their lazy approach of arresting anyone and muscling out statements from them should stop. They should do better. |

ZUBY77:Are you okay at all? Did you read the part where it was stated that prosecution didn't produce witnesses after several adjournments Did your brain also skip that he could be rearrested once there are witnesses to prove the case |

bigiyaro:The victim has to testify in court. I believe the family deliberately frustrated the case |
| Re: Lagos Court Dismisses Defilement Case Against RCCG Pastor by TONYE001(m): 7:08am On Jul 03, 2025 |
bigiyaro:Who reported the case? Where's the girl's mother...her siblings? Witness doesn't necessarily mean that one saw the act as it happened. Where's the victim too? All these testimonies should be enough to execute the case. |
| Re: Lagos Court Dismisses Defilement Case Against RCCG Pastor by Authoreety: 7:09am On Jul 03, 2025 |
Hopefully, hes innocent... But who even established the allegation |
| Re: Lagos Court Dismisses Defilement Case Against RCCG Pastor by Sellfish(m): 7:10am On Jul 03, 2025 |
bigiyaro:Even the alleged victim failed to come forward Or you are saying even the alleged victim did not witness when she was allegedly defiled? |
| Re: Lagos Court Dismisses Defilement Case Against RCCG Pastor by TONYE001(m): 7:10am On Jul 03, 2025 |
frisky2good:Another angle to look t it. Possible. Maybe they want out-of-court settlement. If this is the case, then it's shameful. If the man did it, for the sake of the girl and for possible future victims, those with relevant info should approach the court and testify. He should go to jail and be off civilization for as long as necessary. Imagine him going back home...how will the young girl feel? |

voiceoftheupcom:Such cases are usually DOA. Since there is no nobody present who actually witnessed him insert his penis into her mouth, the case can't see the light of day. Also, having her testifying to him doing that nonsense won't be able to hold water, because she's underage and underage person's can't be witness in court, neither can they be trialed for committing an offense. Hmm. |

joseph1832:Online Barrister ![]() For me, it's the absolute confidence with which you spew so much misinformation... As a practicing lawyer, I can assure you that you are very wrong...underage persons can give evidence in court as long as the court is convinced he or she understands the questions put to him or her... And minors can also be tried for criminal offences.. Resist the urge to have an opinion on things you know nothing about ![]() |

They will say it is the devil and pray over it. ![]() So many cases of sexual assault never even make it to the court because victims and / or their relatives are not willing to pursue the case. In some instances, the accused might even be asked to "settle" the victim. TONYE001: |

If it were in a foreign country. Despite been innocent his name would be tarnished for life because it's already in his record except he has a high connection in the white house which would help in expunging the case file even with some companies or workplace wouldn't employ him. Those people are more profiling compared to us when it comes to sexual assault or rape and would support the opposite gender mostly without even giving it an iota of thought if the man is innocent but here they go ask the lady or woman say wetin you go find there. Double standards allover the 🌎 |
