Over speeding is almost the only cause of road accidents except peculiar cases not directly related to motor vehicles like container or masts or signposts falling on road users or electrocution from fallen wire or landslides, floodwaters etc

While we don't know the cause of this blowout, it is very true that overspeeding can lead to a blowout. That's why tyres have speed ratings that shouldn't be exceeded.

This car tyres are probably rated ZR, designed for very high speeds - which then raises the question of how fast they were going - if indeed overspeeding was the cause of the accident. So many questions.
