Every day, I see people rushing out by 5AM, struggling through traffic, working long hours, and still barely surviving by the end of the month.

Some are job hunting endlessly — submitting CVs like lottery tickets — yet no response, no opportunities.

Those who are “lucky” to get a job are being paid ₦40k to ₦70k monthly, with responsibilities that drain their health and peace of mind.

This wasn’t the plan.

We were told: “Go to school, get good grades, and everything will fall into place.” But now, many of us are waking up to the harsh reality that the system is broken — and no one is coming to fix it for us.

What hurts more is that a lot of people are silently struggling. Smiling at work. Dressed up every day. But deep down, they are tired, burnt out, and unsure of the next move.

The truth is: waiting on Nigeria alone is no longer a survival plan.

I’m not here to motivate or sell anything. I’m just saying — if you’ve been feeling stuck, confused, or underpaid… you’re not alone.

I had to start looking for alternative ways to earn something decent on the side. Quietly. No noise. Because hoping for change without taking action is a dangerous trap.

Who promised you any life after school? That person is the real scam. There is no certain commitment from anyone other than you to be productive and earn your living.
The real issue is about bad system where you are trapped with bad or no real options. No power or too expensive. Bad roads. Needless roads. Graft & bribery.
Extortion.

Wait when AI drain the remaining Jobs it would be a total disappointment for many.

School was never created to make you comfortable. From inception, economy has run on business and skills. School was created to train you to work on such a business as society advanced and skilled workers are needed.

Everyone cannot be workers.

We are humans. We can do anything if we work together for progress instead of fighting over little resources.

It's tough now because we are more focused on profits.

But if more people do as you are doing now by looking for some innovative way to make money. We will all thrive.

Don't depend on anyone to make life easier for you. Be useful for yourself. Work on making money out of what you know how to do best. Anything at all, you can make money out of it.

You see how animals - everyone of them have to plan, get creative, and stay at alert to survive? That's how you are meant to play the game of life.

Nothing comes easy in life.....you either struggle early to ease it later or you stay lazy and remain lazy.

Life is never made to be a bed of roses. When it throws a lemon @ you, make a lemonade out of it man.

The rule holds till this day.

Going to school figuratively means acquiring skills and knowledge.

What can anyone do without knowledge & Skill?

It is one thing to acquire a skill; it is another thing to know how to position oneself for opportunities.

In the early days of our forebears, they had multiple opportunities to choose from.

The Job market is very competitive now - there are a ton of graduates at the first degree, second degree and even at doctorate level.

Highly skilled individuals still have an advantage today.

Notwithstanding, life is in stages - the majority of people start with a small income, multiply their income level over time while adding value and skills.

Making the right decisions, having a positive mindset to work and life is important.

Since twenty years i finished my NYSC and realized that the Nigeria government never cared for the masses i went an learn online trading just with my phone and my laptops and internet connection in my bed room. To GOD be the glory!

When English is compulsory and Agriculture is optional. The country will end up speaking good English on empty stomach.

Hard work pays not anymore in Nigeria, going to school and earning good grades doesn't guarantee fair living not even fair job. When you don't have somebody that's there for you, don't even apply no matter how good you're. We are plenty in this trap.

That is just the supremacy of life, you can't have it both ways, and you can't be rich and poor at the same time. From the very get go, man will always be higher than one another.

The whole point of living in a community is to reap the gains of synergy but unfortunately we have embraced individualism - every man for himself. If people pool resources together they can build a business that will provide financial security but unfortunately because of the every-man-for-himself disease troubling our minds, you can be rest assured that 98.23% of the people pooling resources together are looking for every opportunity to steal the funds and run away or misappropriate the resources. So bro/sis na to begin looking God face oh.

The jobs that were looked down upon in those days are now being practised by graduates. Life is a matter of winning or losing. You just have to keep grinding, brace up and don't relent.
