True talk. That's the right step in the right direction. Tinubu promised our youths jobs and here they are. He is living up to his promises. Kudos to the COAS, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, for encouraging young Nigerians to join the military and instill discipline, patriotism, may this inspire the next gen of Nigerian leaders |

On top how much? Y'all can't deceive this gen z generations. Nigeria is not worth dying for. A country where soldiers buy their own boots nd drugs with their own money |

fuckingAyaya:Provide evidence to this claim of your's. Because I see no reason why the government is able to provide for NYSC corp members and won't be able to provide for the military. Secondly there is a region in this country that has chosen not to be part of the Nigerian military deliberately. In the future, they will reap the fruit of their choice. |

To think that there was a time in this country that the forms for the army were sought after like American visa... How things change. You guys at the top echelons of the armed forces started treating the lives of men in service like they are worth nothing. Sending soldiers to battle fronts without ordinary bullet proof vests. Every day soldiers are complaining openly of either their poor food rations at the war fronts, or that Boko Haram has more sophisticated arms than them. Continuously, we hear of some folks in the military giving out intels to insurgents in the north and this leads to heavy casualties with the army which are treated like nothing. These frightens.. Maybe this scenario favours the north, but certainly not the South. That someone's child signed to die for the country does not mean he signed to be wasted so casually. The army has to do something about these sorts of events. It frightens the young from joining the military. |

The fella that said recruit 50M youth and feed them with cassava, garri, ewa and agbado have not supply the recruits yet? Meanwhile, let the children of the leaders take the lead and bullets first. |

Softmirror:They choose not to join because the military have been infiltrated by repentant terrorists, you can ask Gen Yakubu danjuma for more clarity. Why will anybody risk their lives for 54k per month now100k? Convert the dam money to dollars per month then come back to your emotional manipulative comments. Do you know how much was budgeted for soldiers that died fighting insurgency in the north? Do you know how much was giving to their families after their demise? The police that served for good 35years hope you saw how he was crying few weeks ago because of what they gave him as gratuity? If you have nothing reasonable to say better go nd sleep or rather still persuade ur people to join the army |

fuckingAyaya:You lack foresight. And it will be too late for you. Your excuses doesn't add up because there are so many opportunities in the military unless you chose not to be useful to yourself. |

Softmirror:That region that you are talking about. How well have you promoted their sons and daughters who were in the police and army since 1970? They make up at least 25-30% of the population of this country. How many of them have gotten to the echelon of their careers in the armed forces and other paramilitary? When was the last time an Ibo man was made the Top man in the Immigration, Customs, Police, Army or Air force? Is that how you encourage their sons and daughters to join the forces? By placing a ceiling on the heads of the one already in there? If not for the constitution that says every state must produce ministers, how many would have been made ministers since 1970. Go figure. |

Dalohad:And you think by giving up completely such will be achieved?! Mind you in the 60s that region dominated the Nigerian Army as high ranking officers. What happened? That is food for thought for you. |
