Not about downgrade, it is about versatility. He can play in all the attacking positions and he won’t want compete with the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, who’re the undisputed starters. A perfect fit in my opinion.

They also negatively impacted the trust of Nico Williams' agent, who, as a result, tried to impose an unacceptable release clause. Accepting such a clause could have jeopardized the financial stability of the club and might even be considered negligent management if president Joan Laporta had signed off on it.

▪️ Moreover, the actions of La Liga president Javier Tebas have hindered the development and market value of the league. The presence of Nico Williams alongside Lamine Yamal would have significantly boosted La Liga’s appeal both in sporting and broadcast terms, increasing fan interest, media revenue, and the league’s international reputation.

▪️ On another note, UEFA imposed a financial fine of €15 million on Barcelona, not a sporting sanction as some media reported (which I had already predicted in a previous tweet), such as a points deduction.

▪️ Javier Tebas should have defended Spanish clubs against UEFA and escalated the matter to higher authorities if necessary.

▪️ FC Barcelona is protected by the principle of legitimate trust, recognized in administrative and constitutional law, which guarantees good faith in actions taken by public or regulatory bodies, such as La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation, which previously approved the financial "levers" used by the club.

▪️ It makes no sense for La Liga and the Spanish Federation to approve these operations, and then for UEFA to punish the club for something their own subordinate institutions had already endorsed. This situation violates the principle of consistency and legitimate trust, upheld by European law and court rulings, which protect clubs from contradictory punishments issued by institutions that had previously validated such actions.

▪️ Tebas should focus on defending his clubs in front of UEFA instead of leaking their financial details, complaining about the Club World Cup, or continuing his battles with Real Madrid and Florentino Pérez.

▪️ As I’ve said before, Tebas has become a new version of Villar and Rubiales, and is no longer fit to remain as La Liga president.

▪️ By the way, I repeat: Barça is currently compliant with the 1:1 rule and has remained so since entering it in January. Everything has been done according to administrative law.

▪️ And if Barça and its president do not file a complaint against the La Liga president, they deserve everything that’s happening to them. Their lack of reaction only worsens the situation and allows Javier Tebas to continue his abuses and arbitrary decisions against the club.

Yes we're actually happy for him. Yes he could have had a much better career at Barca but I am especially glad he's finally discovering his immense talent and building on it.

Also especially glad because Bartomeu once predicted that Dembele is better than Mbappe, reason why he signed him at Barca instead of Mbappe.

We all laughed at him and called him a crazy man. But if Dembele, who's won a UCL ahead of Mbappe, being the main man, goes on to clinch the ballon d'or, Bartomeu would have been proven right.

He might battle with Florentino Perez in the public to seem impartial and confuse gullible people like you, but as a Real Madrid fan, he'll always make decisions that will favor the club he supports.

Besides, by always antagonising Barça and making sure they do not make any progress in strengthening their squad, that's already the biggest help he can give Real Madrid.

Ask yourself, who benefits from a weakened Barcelona, if not Real Madrid, who's Barça’s biggest rival and vice versa.

He singlehandedly leaked Barcelona financial documents to Athletic Bilbao, who in turn gained an invaluable information which they used to convince Nico Williams to not proceed with his signing with Barcelona.

If Barca had signed Nico Williams, we would have been much stronger than last season, which will make it difficult for Real Madrid to catch up.

So he again helps Real Madrid without making it look obvious. It's all these subtle actions that are even more important. If you expect him to blatantly instruct officials to assist Real Madrid during matches (which they do anyways), this will be too obvious and not the right tactics.

What a better way than to weaken the major rival to Real Madrid.

This is one of the reasons I don't even pity La Liga teams at all that suffers from Tebas shitty management of the league. The league is bleeding and losing edge almost every season and clubs are just doing everything possible to hold on without much financial incentives to continue being at the top.

So I really wonder how come these same clubs voted for Tebas just last year for another long tenure. Tebas can keep playing with Barca and Madrid the way he likes but it doesn't really diminish both clubs really, cos they have the pedigree and financial muscle to ride the storm in the long run.

Na smaller teams I pity pass. Madrid made over €1.1bn last season, Barca generated €950mn last season on a different stadium far from our home base and half our stadium capacity.
The rest doesn't make anything close to this at all. I don't know about Atletico Madrid.
So who go still suffer all this mismanagement pass?

As for Barca vs Tebas....I'm finding it disturbing that Laporta and Barca haven't sued Tebas to any sporting court by now. If they didn't have evidence of sabotage, his actions leading up to the Nico Williams saga is enough evidence to sanction this guy in a sporting law court.

And if Laporta and co don't do anything about it, then I feel we should just shut up and accept every shït this dude do to us. Cos this guy would continue doing it. Bilbao felt we were short-changing them and reported us to the League. So why haven't Barca reported Tebas to the necessary authorities since he's been misbehaving for long.
There's always different hierarchy of institutions to check every levels of governance. So why haven't he been reported to Court of Sports Arbitration??
