The ADC was not set up to pose a threat to PDP. They were never in the conversation. It was set up to provide a viable political alternative to Nigerians that will remove the incompetent Tinubu from power.

The script has now been flipped against Wike. He'll be the one running helter-skelter now to ensure that the PDP doesn't go into extinction because that would be the end of him. That will also fast-track the defection of the current PDP governors (mostly from the Northern extraction) to the ADC.

Expect the mother of all anti-party in 2027. Tinubu normalised and encouraged it, he would be the biggest victim of it. They can't afford to have him in a coalition that will attempt to fight back their rigging. Tinubu has first hand knowledge of the popularity Peter Obi wield and justifiably so.

No Nigerian will defeat Peter Obi if a free and fair presidential election is conducted today. Both APC and the opposition knows this.

Because governors have ambitions. Atiku as a northerner is a stumbling block to any Governor who has ambitions to be president himself in 2031.

I have said it from day 1 that no Northern Governor with ambitions will back another Northerner to be president in 2027.

If they don’t have northern governors where is their governor coming from?

No northerner with serious political muscle and ambition will back Atiku and this is an Atiku SPV. The only reason ADC exists is because Atiku was unable to capture the PDP structures.

There are big names in the coalition but they are yesterdays big names. There is no one with serious political muscle who has joined them except Obi and he hasn’t joined officially because he RIGHTLY believes he has more political muscle than all of them
combined and they want to dictate to him! Go through the names one by one, None of them has won an election or delivered their state, LG or ward for their party in the last elections.

Bolaji lost his election, El Rufai did not deliver his state, Amaechi has lost Rovers structure, David mark lost his state and local govt to APC, Atiku only won 1 of 6 regions and and only because of PDP structure, Aregbesola cannot deliver his state, Dino lost his election, Dele Momodu contested for presidency left his house to vote with his wife, driver and house girl, when then results came out. From the PU, he got only 1 vote!…….who else lets dissect their grassroots relevance! Sule Lamido as a sitting governor lost his state in 2015 and has not been able to deliver his state in every election since.

Watch the interview yesterday by Tajudeen Yusuf! He also said the reason Obi left PDP in 2022 was because Atiku told him to his face he could not guarantee him the VP slot! Obi wanted to be VP in 2023 not president .

ADC needs governors, governors don’t need ADC. On the contrary it is suicidal for a. northern governor to support Atiku. I wrote about this months ago.

Wike's interview with Seun Okinbaloye showed that PBAT's candidate is dominated by insensitive Political Office holders !

Wike in his Character used 20 minutes to talk down Amaechi, 4 minutes for Dele Momodu and the rest for chest beating !

Jagaban was defeated in Kaduna where El Rufia was governor

He was defeated in Kebbi, Yobe, Gombe, Katsina, Imo, Ebonyi , Cross River States that all had APC governors.

You don't need governors to win elections in present day Nigeria politics

What you need is the people.... The Electorates

Atiku Abubakar had Governor Okowa as running mate from Delta State but he lost Delta State to Peter Obi

So governors are useless in determining the outcome of elections in present day Nigeria...

They can spend big and try to influence voters through vote buying but the Electorates now collects money from them and vote for their preferred candidates.

It’s funny how when governors decamp to APC you shout one party state, they only have one vote. When it’s rumoured they will go to ADC, Tinubu is OTP.

The Coalition will hand over their ticket to Obi and the beating he will receive on election day will be unprecedented. Tinubu won 2023 contesting against two prominent northern Muslim candidates and won. Imagine how much more he would have won without Atiku and Kwankwaso on the ballot.

The ADC is planning for 2031. They want a southerner now, so they can have an all Northern contest and demand Obi’s support in 2031. There’s no world where Obi defeats Tinubu in a one on one contest.

I am staunch Omoyele Sowore supporter...and I can't blindly say he will win..when I know he can't.

Leading to 2023 elections...my analysis and that of many that have been voting in Nigeria for years is on Nairaland..

I don't need to waste time...the fact is, ADC needs atleast 8 incumbent Governors to stand a chance of winning 2027 elections...irrespective of whoever they adopt as their Presidential candidate.

It is the other way round!

No northern governor is going to work for Atiku. It is not in their interest. If Atiku becomes president, it kills the chances of any Northern governor who plans to be president in 2031! Atiku can’t handover to another Northerrner! So why will a governor who controls the political structure in his state aid in his own downfall?
