🧑🏻‍✈️🧑🏻‍💼 Mohammed Abubakar started his career in aviation as an aircraft cleaner with a wage of about $0.50 cents a day, in the hope of one day successfully reaching his goal of being a pilot.⁠
⁠
Abubakar took the job with Kobo Air, a job many would pass on due to low wages. However, Abubakar stuck at it and was eventually promoted to ground staff and later to the cabin crew.⁠
⁠
Abubakar went on to work for Aero Contractors as a flight attendant where he was able to use his years of experience and add value to the company.⁠
⁠
With the help of his managing director Abubakar was able to enroll in a pilot training program located in Canada where he secured his private pilot’s license and later his commercial pilot’s license.⁠

He is now a part of Azman Air Services Limited, based in Kano, Nigeria and Azman Air took to their Twitter to showcase Abubakar receiving his fourth bar signaling his promotion to captain status.⁠

After an incredible 24 years of service in the industry, he achieved his goal.This incredible transformation is a true "definition of hard work pays off."

The training need not be self paid, in the 1980s aviation companies in Nigeria were advertising in newspapers looking for trainee pilots , a close friend of mine got such an offer then, the only requirement was WAEC O Levels credit in certain subjects like Physics, Mathematics and Geography. You needed no connections or needed to know somebody, the Trainees were even being paid while still on training.
Such opportunities are not difficult to find today in Europe so long you meet the requirement.

He was employed as a trainee pilot, when Nigeria was booming up to the 1980s , aviation companies in Nigeria were recruiting trainee pilots.
In Europe, it is possible to be employed as a paid trainee pilot so long certain requirement are met.

Time and chance gave him the privilege. He was helped by his brother. There are many others who work hard too for years yet nobody noticed them talk more of helping them achieve their life ambition.

He was assisted by his helper a.k.a manager. Guess it was an all expenses paid trip to Canada but at same time, he did the rest with dedication and hard work because no oga at the top in Canada.
