Kobojunkie:The average Northern child can't communicate in Arabic. Due to Islamic education many receive, they can Read and Write in the Arabic script/letters, but can't understand the language. So that means if you write Hausa for example in the Arabic script/letters they can read it and maybe understand it. |

madridguy:This same mindset is the reason you people thinks that the world start and ends in Lagos. You're not ashamed to write this, no iota of shame at all. Go out from that cave and explore the country. Oh, I remember, the monthly 30k stipend is not enough for you to use and explore the country talk more of flying to another country. Static mentality , static soul, priding in staying in one place. |

madridguy:My problem with you is ethnic bigotry. Always weaving your argument around regions. You need more exposure. The other Time, you berated local government Chairman in Ifo, Ogun state, for appreciating IBO boy who excelled in JAMB examinations. You forgot this boy was Born in the local government area. Raised in the area. And the parents contributed to the development of the area. Your mindset is horrorific and out of tune with realities of modern time. You view issues from ethnic prism and this is not good for modern civilization. Tribalism has a limit. Now, you are saying everybody should be confined to his region. Citing arewa as good examples of people confined in their region. You could cogitate better than this outlandish outpourings! |

oglalasioux:Unfortunately, there is no evidence that the children can speak the Arabic language, negating any claims that they can read and write in Arabic. ![]() |

Any statistics coming from Lagos Ibadan express way I will never take it serious. And yet everyday I keep coming across a lot of Yorubas who can’t speak ordinary pigin english, read and write English but I have hardly seen any Igbo person that can not speak atleast broken English. |

Kobojunkie:They can read and write in Arabic. Most Hausa words that has to do with commerce, government and religion are Arabic words. The naira beyond 20 naira are actually Arabic words. What the northerners have failed to do has been their inability or unwillingness to teach science in Arabic to their children. 90% northern children can recite the Quran which is no small feat. Northern Nigeria children are not illiterate. |

oglalasioux:1. Again, they cannot speak the Arabic language, making it meaningless to claim they can read and write in Arabic. The main goal of learning any language is to gain fluent communication in that language. However, when that is missing, then it makes no sense to claim one 2. That means absolutely nothing because the average Hausa man or woman cannot speak the Arabic language. Some words are in another language DOES NOT confer proficiency in that language on the one. ![]() 3. Why teach science in Arabic at all? Why not teach science and technology in the Hausa language, like the Arabs — they boast of a higher rate of literacy than any Hausa community can— teach science, technology, the Arts, etc., in their Arabic language? ![]() Again, literacy has nothing to do with teaching or communicating in a foreign language, but the act of comprehending educational material in whatever primary language one clings to. ![]() |

DeGLORIOUS:There is nothing to boast of in all of Nigeria -- all 774 local government areas that make up the Country -- so stop making it seem as though only one region is responsible for all the trauma that is fhe nation today. 🥱🥱🥱🥱 |

You can never exonerate the north from this blame. A region full of unproductive population must embrace criminality has an escape route to poverty. Kobojunkie: |

DeGLORIOUS:Again, of none of the 774 LGAs in Nigeria can boast of anything worthwhile in the country, what makes you think this is an attempt, by me, to exonerate the set that make up the northern states? ![]() |
