I always hung out at the windows of people’s sitting rooms to watch movies in the late 1900s and early 2000s. This was so common when Super Eagle was playing, and few households could afford to have a TV set in their houses. Thank God for globalization!

Lolz, not the same communism proposed by Karl max, engel or Lenin.

It is the same system being used by western countries. People will own properties but you won't be able to do so withiout passing through a specific rule or authority. For example, people must be made to buy houses or summit a proposal to authority before they would be allow to start constructions. This will enable the government to question people source of fund by looking into their profiles, incomes and where they work or business they are doing to earn. With the system, you don't have to break bank to acquire a house as mortgage system would be more effective.

Majority of stolen public fund are spending on accumulation of properties.

Also, if I know that government will take good care of all my needs at old age, why would I be stressing myself stealing to accumulate properties as security for old age.

If government can give me free education and other basic needs from age 0- 18, and when I retired from active service, why would I refuse to support the same system by paying all required taxes.

If I know that government will pay me, even if I am unable to secure a job, why would I stress myself to steal, or become a thug for politicians.

Those are the secrete of western countries that developing ones are yet to emulate.

You are describing Welfare States that operate in a capitalist setting and as such are really mixed socialist economies. This is different from the communism you at first recommended.

I used to peep to watch this program every Sunday between 3 to 4pm.

When our neighbour started feeling kinky and doing anyhow, popsie just went and bought a Sanyo standing TV complete with lock and key 😆😁 for us.

Just for historical CLARITY, there are some people born in the 1960s and 1970s who ALSO went through this peeping process. When the WNTV [Western Nigeria Television with the slogan, "The FIRST in Africa"] started broadcasting, people peeped through the windows to see what programs were being shown.

In addition, there were Betamax recorders and Betamax tapes which those of us who were well off used to watch movies (Western, Indian, Bruce Lee, etc) at home from the late 1970s right into the 1980s in Nigeria before the VHS recorders and VHS tapes gradually took over from the early 1980s [and then the FIRST ever Nigerian movie industry home video produced and packaged in Lagos State on VHS tape was shot in 1988 and screened as well at the National Arts Theater in Lagos that same year and it sold out]. Indeed, the first film produced on home video in Nigeria as of 1988 is "Soso Meji," produced by Ade Ajiboye. Consequently, Prince Alade Aromire produced his "Ekun" home video in 1988, with Prince Jide Kosoko producing his home video as well in 1989, and hundreds more home video were produced before 1993, leading to a major Nigerian movie industry home video boom from the early 1990s with the availability of more VHS recorders and video tape rental clubs.

Not about blaming them but if you dont recognise the role they have played in keeping you backward then you dont know anything. Just look at the level of violent conflict in this country for example, where does it come from other than the careless act of lumping very different peoples, tribes and nations together by sitting down in Germany to draw colonial lines in the 19th century without any thought whatsoever for the people on ground.

That is who we are by nature and circumstances. Nigeria and Africa need these 3 solid rules to make progress.

1. Forbid private ownership of properties. No one should be allow to erect a structure except government or authorised agencies. All land should belong to the government.

2. Government most take total of 100% care of the young below 18yrs and those above 65yrs.

3. Social security for unemployed people should be a must for the government.

If we can do all or one of the above, you will see a tremendous human development like what we are seeing in western countries. You don't expect poverty striken people whose major focus is to accumulate wealth for the future to be innovative.

Life often doesnt work that way. Each people need to inculcate and imbibe their own lessons over time and arrive at their own unique solutions. Copy and paste will not resolve such deep issues.
