Wike intentionally dont want to attack Peter Obi directly . Whenever PO is mentioned, he will find a way to avoid direct confrontation with him and even use the opportunity to attack Atiku. The last time he tried to attack PO, he didn't mention his name unlike his usual manner of mentioning Atiku, Amaechi or any other political opponent. |

You are very spot on. Never thought about it up until now. I think he has a personal relationship with Obi and he doesn't want to be on his bad side. |

Atiku is in his arch enemy group. Peter Obi is not in that category. |

Wike hate him all you want, he's not a typical agbado mulching urchinsons that sees anybody against tinubu as an enemy. PO is not his enemy buy atiku is. |

He knows if Atiku or Amaechi becomes the president, he is toast. But Obi could forgive him cos they are not enemies |

Firstorderwizard:He grouped him among failed politicians and you still didn't get it? He is not stupid and doesn't want to waste his time and media space onMr. Obi who has no pathway to defeat Asiwaju or Alhaji Atiku. If you understand politics you should be able to understand that any attack on Alhaji Atiku is directly aimed at Mr Obi since he is pairing with Alhaji Atiku. And here's one of the caustic headlines from him against Mr and his Co travelers of failed politicians. What political achievement has Mr Obi attained since he left APGA to PDP to LP and now to ADC? Zero! He and Alhaji Atiku have been failing politically yet you still want Mr Wike to reel out a list? Peter helped him in preventing Obi from being the president one way or the other. He split the votes that could have all gone to Atiku. |

The thing is,Wike is going to prison whether he attacks Obi or not. He has messed with alot of people and even land grabbing all over the FCT ,fighting everyone all because of greed and hate. |

Wike does not intentionally attack anyone. Most of those he attacks are those who throw the first punch. Wike had said in a previous interview that he could not have supported Peter Obi because no one wins elections on social media. Asking him to attack Peter Obi is needless. As a presidential candidate or as a running mate to one, it is in Wike's and Tinubu's interests that Peter Obi is in the 2027 race. If Peter Obi gets the ADC ticket, the coalition dies; but if he doesn't, the coalition will be severely affected. Coalition is for the north (Atiku's project). No one of them will trust Obi with ticket. Them Sule Lamido are saying they'd support Obi if he wins the ticket. That is a subtle message that Obi must support someone else if they win the ticket. |

Nemesis0147:When Obasanjo told Bode Grorge that all he sees around him was prison. What happened. After Obasanjo's regime,he eventually went to prison and back. I don't see Wike escaping prison...he has fought even those who could beg on his behalf such as The Peter Odili's and the Patient Jonathan's of this world. |

FreeStuffsNG:This one is always trying to sound more intelligent than himself. Kayode ogundamisi and many APC chieftains have told you that Peter Obi is the only stumbling block on tinubu's road to aso rock again. But here, a data boy wants to make himself feel good. Well enjoy. 😃 |

jmoore:And who benefits if there is voter apathy? Who benefitted from voter apathy in 2023? Look, Atiku is still in PDP and talking about running in 2027. Obi, Datti, Aisha Yesufu and Obidients are in LP giving conditions for Obi or nothing. They are not certain about their own coalition. We are not talking about the voters yet but about what the voters may be presented with. The 2010/2011 CPC/ACN coalition failed because it was an all or nothing negotiation. Obidients are doing an all or nothing demand in 2027 and you wonder if they are politically aware of the stakes. Atiku came 2nd; you don't ask Atiku to bury his ambition for the guy whom came 3rd. Atiku's zone has the largest voting bloc. You don't ask Atiku to step aside for the one who has the smallest voting bloc. You can appeal to sentiments and emotions in projecting Obi, but if Obi is afraid of competing to wrest the ticket from Atiku, let him run in LP. |

jmoore:Why will I dodge anything? Peter Obi was the greatest influence in 2023 because his participation ruined Atiku's chance of getting the position. His supporters are saying that if they don't give him the ticket, they won't participate in the election. I am saying that Obi supporting someone else will cost him majority of his base from what they are saying. You are saying it won't affect anything. Are you even following the news to see the mood of his supporters or you are just trying to argue sentimentality? Why would Obi supporting anyone not influence anything? |

emkz:Largest voting bloc with how many votes? Obi and Atiku got 6 million votes plus each. You are making it seem like the gap was too much. That Obi even got same 6 million votes range with a smaller party like Labour shows he's got more potentials than Atiku that used PDP a major party. There's power rotation between north and south. If Atiku doesn't get the memo, he can continue contesting till forever. |

jmoore:Atiku and Obi did not get 6 million votes each. Atiku got 6,984,520 votes; about 15,480 votes shy of 7 million votes. Obi scored 6,101,533; almost 900,000 votes from 7 million votes. It is disingenuous for anyone to say they got six million votes each. You can argue that both Atiku and Obi lost the spread. That is, they did not meet at least 25% in two-thirds of 36 states and Abuja. Now, in terms of voters, Obi was competitive in Lagos in the southwest, and failed woefully in the remaining southwest states. He was highly competitive in the northcentral, but he was almost wiped away in the northwest and northeast. Atiku won the northeast, was competitive in the southwest, southsouth and northcentral and northwest. I do agree that sentiments say that the presidency should be in the south for 8 years. Atiku has shown that he has no respect for that zoning principle and has never worked for any candidate except himself since 2007. Why will it change now? Additionally, the votes from the southeast showed that Obi was seen as an ethnic project. Tinubu won a state in Atiku's northeast zone (Borno); Atiku and Obi won states in Tinubu's southwest zone (Osun and Lagos, respectively); no one won any state in Obi's zone. That means the gulf of mistrust to Obi has widened significantly. What I am saying is that Obi's support base in other zones has reduced. Note that some of his core non-southeast supporters have pulled away and were abused. Even his own people like Valentine Ozigbo and Kenneth Okonkwo are singing different songs now. If ADC gives Obi the ticket, they'd lose because Obi would lose the northwest, northeast, northcentral, southwest and may not win significantly in southsouth. If Atiku gets the ticket under ADC, they have not exactly demonstrated that they have the capacity for grassroots penetration within two years. Besides, Atiku has demonstrated since 2011 that he is anti-southern presidency. He fought Obasanjo in 2003, fought Jonathan in 2010, is fighting Tinubu in 2025. The south may unite against him and the north may be fed up with his desperation and vote against him. Check the statistics, Tinubu won more votes in the north than the south in 2023. The northerners are sophisticated to know that the south deserves a second term. Only Atiku and those who lost out in 2023 do not agree. IBB, Buhari and Mamman Daura as well as northern leaders and elders would not support sabotaging the south because of one man's desperation. The unity of Nigeria is important to them. Even when someone called Obasanjo to protest against Tinubu's victory, Obasanjo refused. These people fought a civil war. They know what is at stake. Does Atiku know? |
| Re: Wike: Who Have Observed This In All His Interviews? by Firstorderwizard(op): 2:11pm On Jul 06, 2025 |
Very flawed Analysis. South East has five states, Obi won 12 states (inclusive of F.C.T), Tinubu won 12 states, Atiku won 12 states. Tinubu/APC suppressed Obi's vote using their structure, PDP did the same especially in the North. Tinubu has over 15 governors and countless Senators on his side, Atiku over 12 governors while Obi had 0 governor, 0 Senator. PO is the real winner of the 2023 presidential election. emkz: |

Firstorderwizard:If Obi appears on the ballot for ADC, Wike will secretly work for him to win, Wike is cool with Obi or Tinubu than Atiku.... Also he knows Tinubu will throw him away after 2027... So low key, he wants Obi to win and that's the only way he can continue to control PDP beyond 2027 |
