Peter helped him in preventing Obi from being the president one way or the other. He split the votes that could have all gone to Atiku.

As a presidential candidate or as a running mate to one, it is in Wike's and Tinubu's interests that Peter Obi is in the 2027 race. If Peter Obi gets the ADC ticket, the coalition dies; but if he doesn't, the coalition will be severely affected.

I've observed it too, I told a friend since the emperor started firing artilleries. Wike is well mannered in that regard and probably Peter Obi is straight in his dealings. Also, Peter Obi is pro South to presidential ticket 🤷.

Peter Obi was the greatest influence in 2023 because his participation ruined Atiku's chance of getting the position.

His supporters are saying that if they don't give him the ticket, they won't participate in the election. I am saying that Obi supporting someone else will cost him majority of his base from what they are saying. You are saying it won't affect anything. Now, in terms of voters, Obi was competitive in Lagos in the southwest, and failed woefully in the remaining southwest states. He was highly competitive in the northcentral, but he was almost wiped away in the northwest and northeast. Atiku won the northeast, was competitive in the southwest, southsouth and northcentral and northwest.

I do agree that sentiments say that the presidency should be in the south for 8 years. Atiku has shown that he has no respect for that zoning principle and has never worked for any candidate except himself since 2007. Why will it change now?

The south may unite against him and the north may be fed up with his desperation and vote against him.

Tinubu/APC suppressed Obi's vote using their structure, PDP did the same especially in the North.
