It always looks rosy at the start of the season, until Gittens and Estevao are out injured, and then we realise our only options are Neto and Tyrique for a game against Real Madrid. We are not going to be top seeds in the CL grouping.

I think we have all gotten used to being out of the CL and completely forgotten what strength in depth looks like. We have to do well in the CL, and ensure top four in the PL.

Last year we made top 4 by largely being able to play second-fiddle sides in the Conference League for an extended period, yet fatigue still dealt us a big blow.

I genuinely think city’s reign has come to an end with Guardiola. They aren’t invincible, a good team but I see them losing matches here and there next season which will hurt any title challenge they want to mount.
