Obi needs to be given a chance to lead this Nigeria maybe from him things will get better and corruption will no longer be a major concern.
..abi..let Nigerians give peter obi chance and see what he can do... instead of some Nigerians condemning him..give him a chance and see whether he will deliver or not..but I believe peter obi will deliver and provide good governance and address and tackle and reduce poverty, hunger, hardship, inflation, high costs of living, high rate of unemployment, insecurity Nigerians are facing..you cannot condemn a person that you have not even given a chance to govern as president..

you understand how economy works. It has nothing to do with corruption like we're made to understand. Until we start investing in human resources and building micro and macro economy, we're going no where. Why should you borrow money to build road while you don't even have power for the industries and existing roads are not functional.

Create the environment for businesses to start and grow, you can then tax the economy and build legacy projects.

This current governor of Anambra State is building parks and subsidizing entrance fee. At the end of the day,it becomes another burden for the state to carry and if another government doesn't find the burden necessary, they will be accused of lack of maintenance. Why should maintenance be an issue if it generates enough revenue to sustain itself?

We have a serious problem in Nigeria and the masses don't even understand the Genesis yet
Curruption is part of the problem oo. If there are too many leakages through stealing, the economy will not progress as it ought to be

A Governor of a state rejected lands from who?

You kids think we are all dunces! The number one man of a state rejected benefit from his own government?

Where is it written in the constitution of Anambra state that Governor’s get land benefits.

Rejecting from a source you control.

Rubbish!

All this things are not important, this is one aspect of Obi I don't like and I condemned him for it

Being humble have nothing to do with governance or leadership

In fact corruption is not even an issue for me, there are many corrupt but we'll developed countries

My reason for supporting Obi is simple... He understand how development works, investing in people, and local businesses not building of infrastructure with borrowed money

Nigeria is like this not because APC is corrupt no PDP was corrupt too even more corrupt but Nigerian GDP grew 1000% in 16 years under PDP

Nigeria is like this because APC keep borrowing money to build legacy projects that can't generate revenue, hoping it would drive economic growth, so in other to pay back the loans, government joins the money market put more demand on dollars and naira falls ... Making holders of naira poorer

Obi debate with Osibanjo is what won me over everyone should go and listen to that debate

All this humble things, philanthropy and the rest no really concern me... It almost like he feels sorry for being rich especially since he came from a super rich family... So being humble is his way of identifying with the poor.. But that's not what makes him a good candidate
Everything you said is correct except that Peter Obi didn't come from a rich family. His family was average. Everything he achieved was through hard work and shrewd investment.

You don't just like good things man. You're so obsessed with failure you wish every human failed like you did. Is a governor the last order of a state? Is he king in a kingdom? Do you think immunity is a lifelong protection?

If you look at a politician like Angela Merkel of Germany or Xi Ji of China, more recently Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso then you have to agree with Obi's position.

People get into government simply to use power to help the society not to inflict pains like your lord and personal savior in aso rock is doing.

If Obi has an impeccable character then admit it and move on and stop being delusional. That your lord and personal savior can't be like him doesn't mean he can't be himself.

Humility is not important
Jonathan and yaradua did well because they are from the PDP school of thought

PDP never borrowed to build any infrastructure they where gathering money and building it gradually so naira grew and Nigerians became richer

Osibanjo is humble and compassionate but is still Awolowo, Tinubu stock of ideology.... Team legacy projects... Millions would still be poor... Maybe just a more responsive president that's all
why is humility not important in governance?

Why are you so bitter? The ones who robbed their states and their local government dry are the ones rulling you today as President. Senetors, house of Reps, etc. You didn't see anything wrong in them.
But its a man that had the little conscience to leave something for his state that you sweating over, probably because of perosonal hatred for him or hatred for the part of the country he comes from.

Nigerians really deserve the kind of leaders they have, people like you are the reason your rulers treat you people the way they do. You guys are bunch of ingrates.

That is even what makes it commendable. Today we have Governors who acquire half of the lands in their State. Governor does not allocate lands, he signs C of O. As you can see, he rejected allocation of land to himself because he already had a house and didn't need any more. Obi long conquered greed and materialistic things.

Slow down with the misinformation. He did not reject an oil block.

He rejected an offer to bid for an oil block in 2015. It was not like he was going to win the bid anyway, and if he bided and won, he still had to pay for it else the bid would be canceled.
See you o.. is it not loan he will use to buy it? Imagine the returns for life after paying the loan

He didn't reject the N250 Naira that was found in his booth; he didn't reject the shalaye to invest Anambra money into the Bewrey business, in which he and his family had financial interest.
He didn't reject the money that he stashed away in the Padora papers.

I don’t think it’s about humility but contentment. Our political class are our biggest cost item on our budget. They get salaries, pension, official cars, houses, medical, estacode and all sorts even after office. Imagine more politicians were content with their one house and didn’t receive all these perks, there would be actually more money for development and the things that matter.
