efficiencie:The dishonesty in people is what led to the individualism. You can't even trust anyone with a deal of as low as 5k and expect not to be ripped off. It got crazy when the society started worshiping money instead of good morals. Now,I can't blame anyone that decided to go solo. |

Get the right education, it activates more potentials than poor or no education. Corruption is the main problem, not unemployment !

This is real reality of an average Nigerian at the moment most especially the financially poor men with families. Many times, I sigh deeply and think about the future of these men and their grown up children and i will sigh deeply again. One will see early 40's and late 40's men still living inside single room with their grown up children and just working for feeding and paying petty bills here and there. |

As Ong as I agree with you, brother their is no messiah among all this people they are their for them self. However I picked something from what you said, we somehow belong to the same school of thought anybody that must be a president must have in depth knowledge of economic both macro and micro using just any how person we not take us any where. But me and you also have a solution but those people born in 1908 that are still ruling we not give us chance. As a president you must be street wise part of my solution, a president must have minimum of 20 foot soldiers in each local government of the federation to spies on please comprehend the rest, high cost of living is not only of item bought but indirect cost is included the bribe collected from road, you we be surprised that vehicles bringing pepper from not to South has paid over 500k as road tip all this we be added to the cost of course, presidency should contact me for more real solution to Nigeria problem if they are looking down on me, I have 5 bill to give government that will make common man like us smill the poor masses, I rest. dominicdavid:Although this is not the storyline "the young shall grow" expect to hear... but it is becoming the true reality here in Nigeria... My take on this is "Dream Again"... this will be my slogan while contesting for Nigeria Presidency... Let's not be moved by political names... while deciding what becomes of our present and future destiny... if they had had over 20 years in power and could not help relieve the burden of the masses... they can't make a difference even if they were given extra one tenure... Let's use this platform to constructively dissect candidates... and discern if they actually understand the issues... and have solutions to our present malady... I know that I have the character... the charisma...and the solutions for good leadership of Nigeria... |
| Re: Was This The Life We Were Promised After School?? by Fujiyama: 6:53pm On Jul 04, 2025 |
dominicdavid:^^^ And there lies the problem. People were told to go to school. But they were not told to choose their leaders wisely. The result is what you see before you. You can't plant beans and harvest cocoyam. Its impossible. If people repeatedly choose leaders who refuse to build institutions - leaders who refuse to build systems, then failure is inevitable. Nigeria has been left behind by almost all the former colonies who started this race with her in the 1950s and the 1960s. Some of those former colonies have become manufacturing powerhouses today. They have become relatively stable, prosperous economies with a growing middle class. Nigeria on the other hand remains a perennial contender for poverty capital of the world...or open defecation capital of the world. ![]() And...things are not going to change anytime soon. |

Nigerian private employers are some of the most heartless and evil people on earth. Even the missionary i.e church-owned establishments. They'll pay you peanuts and still expect you to work your butt off for them! I know that even the government agencies are not paying well compared to the wages in other labour-friendly countries, but the private and missionary ones are evil! I think NLC need to start paying more attention to private employers in this country and the plights of private -sector employees. It's too bad! If the private sector can at least improve their pays and stop casualisation of workers, it'll help Nigeria solve her unemployment problems to a very large extent. |

Education alone won't guarantee anyone success anywhere in the globe. It's the application that makes the distinction. Many go to school but never applied themselves. Hence the subtle failure. dominicdavid: |

The system is perfectly encoded to be what we're experiencing. It's perfect the way it is, that is, for those who it's perfect for.... This matter is troublesome abeg.... You think!!! My aunt graduated as one of the best in her department chemical engineering she taught in a primary school for 5 years earning 30k monthly before getting her new job right now It's not all about good grades o You can have good grades and be suffering take lectures for example most of them have PhD but before this guys get paid they have to threaten the government now my school are going on strike and you're here telling me it's all about good grades. Sure good grades are good but when you put your hope on the government your on your way to disappointment go to school have good grades but more over start your own thing and remove your eye on the government Richest people in the world today are not government workers but problem solvers. free2ryhme: |

You said AI have taken most of the jobs which your both right and wrong You thinking AI have taken most of the jobs is a way that your saying there's no hope for humanity in the labour market while your here concluding stuffs in your head others are there using that same AI to simplify their work No matter how AI gets advanced it can never take over this world humans are designed in a way that no creature on earth can ever be like them in Angels can never I use AI to simplify my work to it replies messages automatically for me saves contact and more they're opportunities out there that are still fresh you all just pounder on the once you think are common that's why you keep thinking that the labour market is saturated Ilekokonit: |

I never said it's broken your misinterpreting me your just saying that because you think your life is perfect have you ever gone out there to see people who have done their very best and then opportunities they deserve are been taken away and given to people who can't even utilise it just because they hav god parents out there like it's not fair it's painful man when you see what you worked hard for is been taken away from you and given to somebody who does not deserve it Just think about that in your free time correctguy101: |
