He's the one.
He's the most senior right now and drummers must have started beating their drums at his residence now.

Your usage of this word is totally wrong in this context. What is the need for ambiguous words when they do not fit into a sentence correctly?

Gradually, Ladoja is getting closer to his life-long dream cheesy
He only need to remove the 's' on the word. But the word is correctly used in this context as it refers to old people.

We did not even get enough time to know his name!

If you asked me yesterday which Kingdom does an Oba Olakulehin reign over? I would not have been able to answer

RIP

Okay. geriatric(s) is commonly associated with healthcare of aged people. It may be used as a substitute but it isn't a perfect substitute in this context. I understand some urban dictionaries will allow the use of that word as a substitute outside medicine, but it is actually considered offensive using geriatrics to refer to aged people in normal grammatical usage.

Ibadan just have to change their mode of picking their kings. Kilode?! Rest on Kabiesi.
It is okay like that. No one go kpai another, the other kinship rites makes room for hatred and unnecessary competition.

I love the selection process.... No need to consult any ifa .... No need to fight.... No need to delay ........no need for jeopardy.....You already know the next in line since inception... And according to what I heard.... If any one of them tries to kill the person next to the throne.... It will backfire...

Rest in peace Baba Olubadan

Asking a Nairaland certified fool to check himself will make no difference.

Some of us have a list of some of them we hardly respond to.

The system is based on seniority. The next in line is already known .
I think it needs an overhaul too but how would they achieve that without causing problems .
The question is why should you overhaul a system that has eliminated any form of controversy or tussle? We know how long it took Oyo town, iseyin , ogbomosho and a host of other before appointing a succeeding monarch but such doesn't happen in ibadan.

They need to start selecting younger people for olubadan , this idea of selecting geriatrics is not good
I also wish that but it can get to the younger ones it will take a while because it's one of the most organise monarchical system in Nigeria. Meaning its turn by turn. They already know the person that will be king after this current demise, its still an old man.

Na wah for ibadan and this funny kingship arrangement o. A new king every year haaa. Former Gov Ladoja becomes king straight. I feel they should review it

The white man destroyed Africa, we already had a working system and were not savages.

At least, the system works, no bad belle, it's turn by turn and no one tries to kpai another to inherit the throne grin

One of the best kingship succession style, except the Olubadans don't last due to extreme old age.

But I believe the next Olubadan Ladoja will stay longer since he's seem much younger(80 years old)

If he gets to his 90s then at least we can get 10 years of Olubadan-ship.
