I tried using it to format some books this morning but it's not booting. It once came up and while i was on Google docs, it went page to home page..


Please what could be the issue? Is it vyr0s?

BSOD, Blue screen of Death. Software issue, if you can still gain access to your system, you should back up your files in a safe place and then you will have to format your system and install an Operating System again.

Your hard disk is weak and expired
Or the hard disk flex wires are going bad
But most times it's the HDD.
Even if u format it.it will still crash again after like a month or two ..buy new HDD

Okay. If i understand, you mean i should take it to the repair guy to format it, right?

I have a guy who unlocked it when it was sent from abroad.. will it do?

Formatting will fix it. You are using a hard disk, to read a hard disk the pointer need to move like a turntable - so it’s reaching EOL. When fixed use a lower OS don’t use latest windows and keep disk capacity under 50 percent or less. Save for a ssd. Even 120gb, then use current hard disk as external . Offload to the external files and all that.

I don't understand all these. Can i just format the laptop and continue using it.

Depends on the memory.but from 20k upwards.
U can manage it.u can format it and it starts working again,then it would later sapa after 2months.just format it but try to fet a replacement. Its weak and has almost reached its end

It's a small issue. Can be fixed by formatting or installing another windows. It happened to mine some time ago. I formatted it and its been years now nothing dey do am

That's not an issue for hard disk oga sir. That's an os issue. Maybe its been long he use the system

I bought a nw laptop from ikeja and it was showing this same thing repeatedly... I switched it off and back on severally times but it still persist so I took it back to the guy I got it from and swap it with another one ... We both thought it's something that has to do with the OS or HDD even we changed the ram at a point and it still crash back to that blue screen ....

I got another system and guess what .. took it back home thinking this one is better but I got that same blue screen problem.. the only difference is this PC doesn't crash often as the first usually do .. now I'm stuck as you ...

Please let me know if you got any permanent solution to this

Yes. He just has to format the entire system and reinstall the Operating System and you're good to go. It should be cheap oh. Shouldn't be costly at all.

I don't know how much they will do that. When I did mine, I had a friend help me do it and I wasn't charged. But since it's just formatting and reinstalling an OS, it should be less than 20k.

Notmally it shpuldnt cost 5k to format.nut as naija be. 15 to 20k. Abeg sir. 10k.

That blue screen of death BSOD is common with Windows 8 series, and it's a minor issue either from registries or an app incompatibly 32/64 bit , go into safe mode and restore windows to an earlier date then start reinstalling ur apps 1 every 3days to know the culprit,

A permanent solution is to install Windows 10 or roll back to windows 7.

But you see that windows 8, na nonsense

Nothing happened to your hardrive,the problem is maybe your system fell and the hard drive is a bit loose. Open your PC remove the hardrive and fix is back, tighten it very well so that it doesn't shake, your system will work perfectly ok

Which state are you? If na lagos it shouldn't exceed 2k. Or better still u buy a window installer of 500naira then u run it ur self.

To respond ordinary again na ban and I didn't do anything wrong but ask for directions to resolve system issues. Na wah for Seun and co.

Anyway my system stopped connecting to WiFi. I have run all troubleshooting and all my drivers are up to date. What could be the issue

Abeg I don chop b@n too much on this thread. Na backup be this. My system no dey connect since yesterday and I no fit do any work. I done run trbleshtng and my drvrs all dey updated. Meanwhile em be like U know where those software dey cheap abeg where be that? Na 15k with abeg I take run my drvrs and updt windws. I hope dem no b@n this na why I dey type in short hand to know why I'm being b@nd this morning unnecessarily. I hope it’s not the wlan card. Try reformat and install windows can be troublesome. But if it fails get a new wlan card. Ask people with bad old laptops first before buying you might get one for free

My bro that 10k no too much? Hehehe. 2014, i formatted my pc for 500naira. Na there i even learn the work hehehe. The guy teach me, come drive am even.
