A video of Vice President Kashim Shettima opening the door for his Brazilian counterpart, Geraldo Alckmin, has sparked a conversation online.
Geraldo was in Nigeria recently and had a meeting with Shettima. After the meeting, Shettima saw him off to his car and went ahead to open the door for him to enter.

Shettima’s action has sparked off a debate online. Some Nigerians argue that his action was out of courtesy and portrayed him as a humble man. Others however argue that it is inappropriate for a Vice President to open the car door for another Vice President.

The one-drop rule is a social and legal principle of racial classification that was historically prominent in the United States in the 20th century. The one-drop rule is defunct in law in the United States and was never codified into federal law.

For goodness sake, this is a bad diplomatic relations for Nigeria. The Brazilian VP has his own protocol who handles his iteneries. So why VP Shettima opening doors for him? Imagine something or security breach occurs while he is doing this? Perhaps he is suffering from poor self esteem
